GUILDERLAND – The Jack Falvo, III Foundation Inc. and the Mallozzi Family Welcomes You to a Brunch Buffet Fundraiser on Sunday, October 23, Mallozzi’s Clubhouse at Western Turnpike Golf Course, 2350 Western Ave., Guilderland, from 10am-2pm. All-you-can-eat buffet just $15 for adults and $8 for children under 8 yrs. “Jack’s Place” is a prospective Hospitality House for Families of Children & Adult Patients at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital & Northwoods Rehabilitation & Extended Care Facility & other local Facilities. Fundraiser to Benefit Rotterdam Junction Flood Victims GLENVILLE – A Family Fun Day is planned to benefit local flood victims at Plush Hair Studio, 126 Saratoga Rd. (Route 50), Glenville on Sunday, October 23 from 1-5pm. The event will feature crafts, face painting, clowns, balloon animals, food, music, baked goods and $20 haircuts, manicures and petite pedicures. Funds raised during the event will be donated to the Rotterdam Junction Fire Department for local assistance. The public is invited. (P)

Halloween Book Sale SCHENECTADY – The Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library will hold a huge “Buy One Get One Free” sale on mystery books Halloween weekend, October 29 and 30, in the lobby of the main branch at 99 Clinton Street, Schenectady. Over 2,000 books will be available for $1, including mysteries, horror and fantasy, and action and suspense titles. For every book purchased customers will get one free book. Sale hours are 9am-5pm on Saturday, and 1-5pm on Sunday. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library and all proceeds benefit the library system. (P)

Ziti Dinner & Silent Auction SCOTIA – St. Joseph’s Church in Scotia is having its second annual Ziti Dinner & Silent Auction on Saturday, October 22 from 4-7pm at their Parish Center, 45 MacArthur Drive, Scotia. Ticket prices for the dinner are $8 for adults and $5 for children (ages 5-12). The Silent Auction will run from 4-6:30pm. Some of the items up for auction include: Proctor’s Gift Certificate, Portable DVD Player, Keurig Coffee Brewer, various themed gift baskets, Garmin GPS and much more.
