The event takes place in the middle school cafeteria and two gymnasiums, and 7’x12’ spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Crafters are required to have a NYS Tax ID and display it the day of the event. 9/11 Memorial Service SCOTIA – St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 50 Sacandaga Road, Scotia, will be having a memorial service at 4pm on Sunday, September 11, to honor and thank those who put their lives in danger daily to help and save others. We will also be remembering all those who lost their lives on that dreadful day 10 years ago. We want to honor those in our fire departments, police departments, local governments and the military. For those who serve in this capacity, please come in uniform. Families and friends are also encouraged to attend. A simple reception will follow the service. (P)

SCOTIA/SCHENECTADY – On September 11, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, corner of Glen Avenue and Reynolds Street in Scotia, will resume the regular schedule of services at 9 and 11am each Sunday. This is also Rally Day and we will install our Sunday School staff at 9am and register the children for Sunday School at 10am so be sure to bring the whole family to this important “Beginning� in our church year. There will be a Pot Luck lunch after the 11am service and later in the afternoon all are encouraged to attend one of the following observances in remembrance of the 9/11 attacks: Schenectady Remembers Moving Toward Peace at 2pm in Veterans Park; September 11th Interfaith service for Burnt Hills and Glenville at 4pm at Indian Meadows Park on Droms Road in Glenville; National Day of Remembrance the Habitat for Humanity 5k Fun Run/Walk in Schenectady’s Central Park. SCOTIA – Swami Tirtha, aka Cowboy Swami Shaman, from Butternuts, NY will present a program entitled “Challenged to Live Life’s Blessings and Joy Any One Can Live Their Vision� on Thursday, September 8, 7:30pm. Due to the recent flood damage to Beukendaal Hall, the meeting will now be held at Rexford United Methodist Church, 18 Main St, Rexford. Cowboy Swami is an author, a shaman, former monk, musician, teacher, seminar leader, psychic, astrologer, health practitioner and blog talk radio host.
