GLENS FALLS – The 3rd annual Canine Angels Doggie Walk will be held on Saturday, April 23, at Murray Street Park. Rain or shine! Registration at 9am; dog parade begins at 11am. Follow Murray Street to Hudson Ave. to downtown with a loop around Glens Falls City Park and back to the park. Minimum donation: $5 per dog & owner. Demonstrations by NYS Police K9 Division, contests, games and more! Proceeds to benefit American Cancer Society Relay for Life. GLENS FALLS – Chef de Cuisine (Carl Monson), a local chef 30+ yrs. of cooking experience, will host a series of classes at the Morequ Community Center on the first and third Thursday of each month. Pre-registration is required, call the Center at 792-6007. First class, April 7, 1pm, will be free. Topic will be “Healthy Cuisine, Facts & Myths”. Cooking classes begin with the next session, Thursday, April 21, 1pm and feature culinary tips and a cooking demonstration (with samples). Classes are $5. You must pre-register for each class. (P)
