Figure Skating Club GLENS FALLS – The Glens Falls Figure Skating Club is continuing to accept registrations for the 2011-2012 skating season. Learn-to-skate (Basic Skills) classes for ages 3 and up will be held on Saturdays from 8:45-9:45am, Sundays from 12:45-1:45pm, or Mondays from 7:15-8:15pm. Basic Skills classes include a 30-minute lesson and 30 minutes of practice time. Advanced figure skating ice time is available on Saturdays from 8:45-9:45am, Sundays from 12:45-2:15pm, or Mondays from 7:15-8:45pm and is open to all skaters for private lessons or practice time. An adult skating class will be offered on Sunday afternoons if there is sufficient enrollment. The season has officially begun, but new skaters are always welcome to join. Election Day Turkey & Biscuit Dinner VALLEY FALLS – The Valley Falls United Methodist Church will host a Turkey & Biscuit Dinner on Election Day, November 8. LARAC “Input/Output” Exhibit GLENS FALLS – Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council’s Input/Output Show at Lapham Gallery. This exciting exhibit explores the works of three artists: John Hampshire, Michael Marks and Peter Russom. Each artist utilizes a particular source, or ‘input’, that inspires their work, using paint or drawing materials to interpret their findings. Community Band Looking for Musicians LAKE GEORGE – The Lake George Community Band, our local premier concert band of the Adirondacks, has openings for a few new members. HUDSON RIVER COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION RAISES FUNDS FOR THE ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION OF NENY Corinth, NY (October 20, 2011): Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) recently presented a check for over $420 to Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York, Adirondack Region as a result of their Jeans for Charity Program for July, August and September 2011.
