Outdoor Drama Performance

LAKE GEORGE – The Last of the Mohicans Outdoor Drama, an exciting outdoor historical theater adaptation of the classic James Fenimore Cooper novel, will run thru August 20 at its new home, Wild West Ranch on Route 9 in Lake George.

Performed on the very ground where historical events transpired, The Last of the Mohicans blends historical fact and romantic fiction to create an exciting tale that has been popular for nearly 200 years. Sportsmen Education Weekend

WARREN COUNTY – Cornell Cooperative Extension will be working in cooperation with Sportsmen Education Instructors and the Warren County Conservation Council to host various sportsmen education classes on Saturday & Sunday, September 17 & 18. Three classes are being offered each day; Sportsman Education, Bow Hunter Education, or Trapper Education (you may choose Only One class per day). These Sportsman and Bowhunter Education classes are being offered as home study course and all materials need to be picked up at Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center. All classes are Free and will be held from 8:30am-4:30pm at Pack Forest in Warrensburg. Lunch will be available at the site for a fee of $6, with the proceeds from lunch sales benefiting the Warren County Conservation Council’s efforts in education and advocacy. Summer History Program SO. GLENS FALLS – The Parks Bentley Place, 53 Ferry Blvd., South Glens Falls has open registration for the Summer History Camp with the focus on the Civil War. This program is open to children who have completed 3rd, 4th and 5th grades and will be held August 10-12 from 9am-noon. County Fair Education Exhibit Winners

SARATOGA COUNTY – For the first time, every school district in Saratoga County was represented in the Education Exhibit at the Saratoga County Fair. WILTON FOOD PANTRY - DAY ONE Wilton, NY - The Wilton Food Pantry opened its doors to the public for the first time on Wednesday July 27th.

Donations of non-perishables as well as Fresh garden produce from the Plant A Row for the Hungry campaign, poured in from 3pm to 5:30. Neighbors facing food insecurity entered as the doors opened for distribution at 6pm. At 8pm when the last neighbor was served, enough food for 261 meals had been shared.

Community support in the form of food and monetary donations are needed and greatly appreciated. The Wilton Food Pantry is serviced with an all volunteer staff and is self-funded. New Food Pantries can not purchase food from Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY until after they have operated on their own for 6 months. Food drives within large employee groups are a great tool for collecting food.

Currently food can be dropped off at all 3 Wilton Branches of Saratoga National Bank and the Wilton Ballston Spa National Bank branch. A food drop at the Wilton Hannaford begins today.
