Hudson Falls Class of ’56 to Hold Reunion FORT ANN – Hudson Falls High School Class of 1956 will be celebrating their 55th reunion on September 10. There will be a casual dinner at the Country Meadows Clubhouse on Route 149, Fort Ann. On Sunday there will be a gathering at a home on Lake George and brunch. Elks Soccer Shoot WILTON – The Saratoga-Wilton Elks is sponsoring a Soccer Shoot for boys & girls on Saturday, September 10, 9am-12 noon, at Gavin Park in Wilton. Four groups for boys & girls: ages 7 and under, ages 8-9, ages 10-11, and ages 12-13. Awards for 1st & 2nd place (all age groups). Winners advance to District, Regional, State, Area 1 Finals. GLENS FALLS – The South Glens Falls United Methodist Church, 15 Maplewood Parkway, South Glens Falls will host a Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday, September 17 from 4:30-6pm in the church fellowship hall. Artists Can Apply Now for 2012 Grant Money GLENS FALLS - For 2012, the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council will be awarding $8,000 in grants (four $2000 each) to artists, age 18 or over whose primary residence is in Washington or Warren County, for the creation of new works of art. The deadline for application is October 4, 2011. Attendance at one of the informational seminars or a consultation with the Community Outreach Coordinator is mandatory for application. “New York Narratives” Exhibit GLENS FALLS – Complimentary to the Hyde Collection’s exhibition, New York, New York! The 20th Century, The Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council’s New York Narratives exhibit at Lapham Gallery will run through September 23. Normal gallery hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 10am-3pm. This is a juried exhibit featuring works by artists who were asked to examine and interpret their surroundings anywhere in New York State during the 21st century.
