From The Heart In this first issue of "From the Heart," a new, annual publication, you will read individual reflections from members of our community on the role faith has played in their growth, and how their foundation at Sacred Heart Greenwich has made a substantial impact on their lives, as well as the lives of others.

2016 Summer Outreach Golf & Tennis Outing

The 2016 Summer Outreach Golf & Tennis Outing, held on October 3, was a fantastic success! After a full day of sports and camaraderie, the day culminated with a record-breaking paddleraise: a generous, anonymous family stepped forward to match dollar for dollar every $770 student sponsorship donated that night. Paddles were immediately waived and a total of $158,000 was raised within minutes.

The entire Outing raised over $250,000, which fully funds 260 Summer Outreach students! This is what Sacred Heart is all about: our community coming together to further the School's deeply held values and mission. To see pictures click here.

Feast of Mater To kick-off the celebration of the Feast of Mater on October 20, our school historian, Vicky Allen H '13, wrote a wonderful piece about the artist who painted the origional portrait of the Blessed Virgin Mary as a young girl. "Pauline Perdrau was a thirty-year old Religious of the Sacred Heart who painted a portrait of the Blessed Virgin Mary as a young girl. In 1845, the year she painted Mater, she wrote: ‘We were living at the Trinita dei Monti in Rome, where Mother Barat was expected to arrive on January 23‌I was a postulant at the time and worked in the Junior School." @SacredHeart: The Blog! Our blog gives us a chance to share just a bit about what makes Sacred Heart so unique and for members of our community to share their areas of expertise. Our most recent blog post is a look at Sacred Heart traditions as a lifer written by Juliette Guice '17. "As I walked across the grass holding the hand of a Barat Center student at the beginning of this school year, I couldn’t help but reflect on my fifteen years at Sacred Heart Greenwich. I thought about all of the changes that have occurred over the years and all of the traditions that have stayed the same. I have watched the school transform, and in turn, the school has watched me grow..." To read more click here.

Green & White Benefit

The Green & White Benefit Committee is excited to be working on what will be a fabulous evening that will celebrate our wonderful school. This year the Benefit will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, in our beautiful Athletic Center. While the theme of “Green & White” is a nod to our iconic school colors, it is the tagline, “A Night of Pride & Tradition,” that will really set this event apart. The hope is to kick off a year in which we highlight all of the amazing traditions that make our school community so unique, with the culmination being an evening that is brimming with pride for the school that we love.
