The Prairie Lines prints “In 1900, Frank Lloyd Wright finished two home commissions in Kankakee, Illinois. The larger of the two homes—the Bradley House— is an important landmark highlighting the architect’s initial exploration and execution of his signature “Prairie style.” “110 years later, I needed to shake things up with my own artistic pursuits, so I drove across town to photograph the exterior and interior of Wright’s Bradley House. The experience led to a refreshing and welcomed conversation—Wright’s eaves, art glass and horizontal lines still have much to say. When I began to work with the images a week later, my process was slowed because got lost in so many of his elemental design details. “The Prairie Lines prints reflect the intimate dialogue I had with Wright’s work.” - C.
