CLASSES

TREBLE TRUMPETS [3 - 4 YEARS]

Our classes offer an introduction to the world of benefits that music has to offer. It has been proven that musical training has a large impact on the development of the brain especially language, speech, attention, memory and the ability to express emotions verbally in young children. We will develop confidence and creativity in our youngest musicians and performers of the future through participation in dance, movement, singing and instrumental activities. 2018 Term Dates Term Three: 30 July - 28 September Term Four: 15 October - 7 December

PICCOLO [1 - 2 YEARS]

MEET OUR DIRECTOR EMMA CHATTERTON Emma Chatterton studied music on a full scholarship at the University of Cambridge, UK. She is a concert pianist and regularly appeared as a soloist and accompanist in both Cambridge and London being awarded numerous prizes for her performances. OUR VISION

WEDNESDAYS 9.00AM - 9.45AM In the Piccolo class we will explore different music and sounds from around the world. The children will sing, play instruments, work with puppets and participate in dance and movement as they learn to feel and experience ‘pulse’ with their bodies. Through action songs, games and nursery rhymes we will develop confidence with singing and performing.

MINI MINIMS [2 - 3 YEARS] MONDAYS 9.00AM - 9.45AM OR TUESDAYS 9.45 AM - 10.30AM

MONDAYS 9.45AM - 10.30AM OR TUESDAYS 9.00 AM - 9.45 AM

The Treble Trumpets class develops skills and attitudes that equip children to become successful life-long learners in all subjects as well as cultivating a love of music and performance. The programme integrates, song, dance, instrumental playing and role-play through puppets and dress-ups with the introduction of simple music-reading and interpretation skills.

FORTISSIMO [4 - 5 YEARS] MONDAYS 10.30 AM - 11.15AM OR TUESDAYS 10.30 AM - 11.15AM

In the Fortissimo group we focus on the value of music as a learning tool in preparation for starting school. Through games and play we will build strong aural memory and processing skills alongside developing children’s emotive language. The Fortissimo group will regularly play a wide variety of orchestral and classroom instruments and regular class performances continue to build our musicians confidence as they get ready to take on the world. At this stage, many parents choose to discuss the option of their child beginning an instrument with us.

Building on the skills developed in the Piccolo Class, the Mini Minims also focus on a combination of action, listening, singing and playing, developing all-round musicianship from the very beginning. Children
