Michael Joy coined the name line casting in 2002 when he developed this new proprietary artistic process. Simply put, a line casting is a uniquely designed 2D image transformed into a durable cast stone material (CatStone). If you were to hold one of the (17”x24” x3/8” thick) 10 pound panels in your hands, it would feel cool to the touch, much like a large glazed ceramic tile. On the surface, each panel has a hand stained, antique finish. Since every panel is handmade and hand finished, each one is unique with slight variations in texture and surface color.
