Treasure Reading symbolizes a way of spending leisure time, which not only frees us from tensions and helps us relax, but also contributes to our mental education and development. In my opinion, although it is more than obvious the sad reality that for my generation the pleasure of reading is no longer attractive, yet we should place this habit in our primordial interests. Only by reading can we acquire more knowledge, thus widening our knowledge horizon. The books assist us in our magical journey of escaping into a fictional and parallel world, completely different from everyday life, experiencing different experiences in imaginative places and where the characters involved can shape our personality traits through their actions and ideas. In this way, an amazing connection is created between the writer, character and reader. An effect of reading is when we empathize with the characters of narrative, that is, we sense ourselves, in our own way, the experiences transmitted by the author. The book can be likened to a true friend who offers help whenever you need, in any situation and who has endless patience with you until you understand her parable. From the messages contained in the enchanted pages of the books, we can conceive a worldview, because books also help in the formation of certain norms of conduct, and when you have not understood it, it is sober and reserved, knowing that you will return.
Moreover, a book can be likened to a dedicated teacher who accompanies us "in the race" to achieve our goals successfully, although in this voyage you are still causing certain states when
you enjoy, laugh, or even cry and cry. "Reading - said historian N. Iorga - plays an important role in the lives of children, a greater role than in the life of the elderly. "My first book meeting is probably in the" darkness of the times, "but what I remember very clearly is how wonderfully I admire the books on the bookshelves, with brightly colored covers, even if, when I looked at the open pages, I could only perceive incomprehensible hieroglyphs, I was so eager to explore their treasures. The thought of the stories told by my mother now afflicts me, as I listened to them with my soul to my mouth, filled with the fantasies in which my fantastic characters carried me. Later, when I learned to read, I tried to quench my curiosity, to find out if they were similar to what my mother had told me, and if I could find other magical realms that were not yet explored. Reading develops our imagination and creativity, awakens new and diverse feelings, presents us with a variety of situations, characters we sometimes attach to the soul, the lives of past lives, but they help us to become aware of our identity and roots. Also reading to think, we acquire the courage to decide what and how we want to be, to evolve. "Man cannot find new oceans as long as he does not have the courage to lose sight of the shore." (Andre Gide). However, this process takes place gradually, simultaneously with the development of our baby mindset. Thus, in primary classes, we only have the ability to memorize or reproduce the subject of the book, but in our gymnasium classes, our teachers make us understand it through different interpretations, and by extracting from it the authentic lessons, thus forming our beliefs and perspectives. The duty of our school counselors is to improve our thinking, to direct our efforts, to stimulate our curiosity to discover and understand the world, to experience the world of books and to choose our own areas of interest.
Another valuable lesson from my teachers is that the book also has certain ages. Certainly there is a book of any age; some volumes have charm only at certain ages, and others get value with time, when we grow more. By reciting a book, its message becomes deeper, because "a book is more than a verbal structure or a series of verbal structures, it is a dialogue established with the reader, the tone it imposes on the reader and is the changing or lasting image which it imposes on his memory. "(Jorge Luis Borges). A regular teenager will be able to extract from the books everything that seems interesting to him and apply that information to his everyday life. For example, some details may be useful in a difficult siting or, on the contrary, will increase your appreciation by others. In addition to all these benefits, reading contributes to education and discipline. With positive and negative characters, almost in any book the bad people with the unethical acts or immoral habits, end up bad. Following the principle that good always overcomes, we learn that through bad and evil plans we will not succeed in life, and thanks to it we will also want to be better, more correct and diligent.
If sport and dance keep our physical health and discipline, reading takes our intellect. At least one hour of the reading day is good for both the psyche and the soul. Reading is the most noble occupation and can cause positive transformations, bringing only good and beautiful things. Many readers have an enviable general culture. The school system cannot provide everything we need to know, so reading is vital. Read anything, it's good to know a little bit of everything! Reading is important and very useful, but unfortunately it is ignored in this technological era. With books, we can create an original vision of life, certainly enriching our knowledge, which helps us to become more optimistic and imaginative. There are books so interesting that we cannot stop until we get to the end of it.
Reading, as far as I am concerned, reassures me and even helps me to be more optimistic and more confident in myself. Indeed, there are some boring or complicated books, and if we cannot understand what we read, it is in vain, because we will not be left with anything. There are other books with very difficult language, but if we select them carefully, we will not have to face such problems. Based on this information, I strongly recommend reading, at least an hour a day devoted to reading and you will notice the change, even being proud to have chosen reading as the mainstay of relaxation. I understand that rest is just as important, and I say that because I really love sleep very much, but still, by reading it, you can become intelligent "overnight"!
