How to Care for your home appliances ¢¢ Maintenance tips for washing machines to keep them running smoothly: 1. Be certain to use a good quality washing-machine cleaner once a month to clean out your washer. 2. Make sure to leave the lid or door to the washing machine open after every load as this will allow the moisture inside the drum of the washing machine to evaporate. 3. If you notice any kind of spill inside your washer, just wipe it away with a damp soft cloth right away. This is required to avoid the spill from spreading more and affecting the functioning of the machine. 4. Keep any liquids away from the control panel as things like liquid detergents or stain removers can harm the finish of the washing machine. 5. Always remember to wipe down the inside drum of the machine periodically with a damp cloth. Also, make sure to wipe down the outside of your washing machine with a damp cloth once a week. 6. Most useful tip for taking care of washing machine is to wash smaller loads. Large loads can lead to early death of your washing machine. Also do not wash your huge carpets and rubber mats in the washing machine.

¢¢Maintenance tips for refrigerators to help them function at their best: 1. Make sure to keep the temperature 34 to 40 degree Fahrenheit inside your refrigerator, so as to keep the food fresh for long. 2. Never put hot food directly in your fridge. First, bring it to the room temperature and then only put it in refrigerator. 3. Avoid overloading your fridge and don’t keep the door open for a long time. Overloading makes the compressor work longer

¢¢ Maintenance tips for microwave ovens to enhance their productivity: 1. Avoid using plastic utensils for keeping in the microwave as they can melt at high temperatures and may cause harm to the food constituents. 2. It is very important to clean all the spills regularly inside the microwave oven so as to avoid any stains. 3. Never operate your microwave oven when it is empty. It may reduce the life of this appliance and the steam emitted could be hazardous. 4. Clean the food spills and stains inside the microwave after every use to avoid any rotten smell. 5. When cleaning this appliance, always use a soft cloth. Using harsh pads on microwave ovens often result in scratches. 6. It is necessary to clean the edges of the doors carefully as it is the integral part of the oven that saves the user from the harmful radiation emitted by this appliance. 7. Make sure that the oven door is fully closed prior to starting the microwave oven. Do not heat any sealed food container or packed food or beverage item. Always remove the seal first and then heat items to avoid explosion. 8. Never put any metal utensil or container and not even an object with metal trim inside the microwave. Always remember to remove the aluminium foil from the food item before putting them inside the microwave to avoid any fire hazard. CT-Sahel August 2016

Beach Hacks to make your Summer Easy!

1.

Baby powder isn’t only for a baby’s bum. It can help kill the smell in your shoes but also it’s a beach bag essential! Baby powder removes sand from skin quickly and easily. It removes moisture from your skin that allows the sand to fall off your hair, feet, legs, etc.

2.

If you get sunburnt and looking for a quick relief, make aloe vera ice cubes! Aloe vera aids the skin in healing and also antibacterial. Make sure to look for aloe vera gel not a moisturizing lotion with aloe. Lotions will only trap the heat from the burn and won’t get the quick effective result.

4.

If you want to keep your keys, money and phone safe while taking a dip in the sea, put your valuables inside an empty sunscreen bottle or any wide plastic bottles.

6.

Waterproof your phone with a ziplock bag. The touch screen still works!

5.

Most of the time it’s difficult to find a shade for your car. The best way is to turn your steering wheel upside down, when you park. The sun will beat down the bottom part of the wheel and the top will be protected.
