Sir Nick Green
Sir Green is the current Chair of the Law Commission for England and Wales. He was called to the bar at the Inner Temple in 1986. He was appointed a judge of the High Court of Justice (Queen's Bench Division) in 2013, and was then awarded the customary knighthood in the 2014 Special Honours. In 2018, he was promoted to the Court of Appeal and received the customary appointment to the Privy Council of the United Kingdom in the same year. As current Chair of the Law Commission, Sir Green will be discussing how the role of law reform has changed since the Commission’s inception, and the significance of its longevity despite significant challenges.
