Dr Martin is a Lecturer in Public Law at the Law Faculty and a Fellow/ByeFellow at Fitzwilliam and King’s Colleges After qualifying as a lawyer in Australia, Stevie spent several years working as a legal associate in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Family Court of Australia

SIn addition to presenting at international conferences on the topic of assisted suicide, Stevie has also published a number of articles on the topic and has written on medical law more generally, including medical treatment of children She is the one of the general editors of the European Human Rights Law Review and one of authors of Hughes, Martin, and Palmer, Human Rights Law (Forthcoming, Cambridge University Press 2023).
Dr Palmer lectures and supervises in Human Rights Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law and Medical Law and Life Sciences. She is currently supervising doctoral theses on a range of public law and human rights topics. She is a Fellow at Girton College where she is a Director of Studies and a barrister at Blackstone Chambers, London She is on the editorial board of the European Human Rights Law Review and was one of the first editors of the International Journal of Constitutional Law (I*CON). She is also a Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre and a member of the Centre for Public Law and the Centre for Law, Medicine and Life Science
