what is your hypothesis? work in teams of 4 or 5. Descriptive and normative research will be required to support and concur on a hypothesis. Decisions regarding the intent of the manifesto will be influenced by your audience ie. be it for all seniors, all NZ designers, all people or SoD students only. Remember design theory is to aim for a preferred situation. Determine what is desirable and not desirable. How can a manifesto define and delineate its' the purpose for designers? each group must give themselves a name, one that reflects its ideology. It must be graphically designed which also represents the ideas of the manifesto. design as a reflection of intent and meaning. each group must write a hypothesis - mission statement of 200 words. Each group must write a defence / discussion of each point in the manifesto in addition to the mission statement of minimally 200 words per point with at least two primary references per point. each group must present their final manifesto in a manner which best reflects the ideology of the group. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA 15% (+5% individual contribution) manifesto presentation + texte innovative thinking in concept and in content of manifesto ability to use independent knowledge through research ability to express ideas with clarity, logic in an argument overall quality of writing (including grammar, writing + referencing) convincing presentation of hypothesis + 9 points creative and expressive presentation (and design) of manifesto
