FINAL THESIS To review and extrapolate how the everyday offers endless expressions of meaning to underpin a design. The objective of the final thesis is to reflect, analyse, evaluate and critique your process and your findings? A final thesis that presents coherently and concisely the physical and sensory explorations that revealed and investigated abstract concepts (aspects) which became the foundation of the experience design and the time-based projects. Design a book which combines images and texte (1000 words minimum) to offer an analytical discussion about each extension that describes, debates and critiques the outcomes and decisions within each extension. If we consider critical design as that which asks carefully crafted questions and makes us think, than questions must be asked about what we actually need, about the poetic moments that can be intertwined with the everyday, Design Noir. by examining ourselves in the everyday with intent and new eyes, ears, nose, hands and tongues. In the writing for each phase, reference your analysis and critique with a minimum of two new primary sources. How can the synthesis of your process draw both conclusions and future questions? Critical design takes as its medium social, psychological, cultural, technical and economic values to push the limited of the lived experience. Design Noir. Dunne&Raby
Conclude with a question? How can the investigation process define a particular design issue? What can you articulate as a final outcome of your process, in the form of a question, for further research? Use your process, your literature research and final outcomes to determine a research question?
