HYMN

#147 All Things Bright and Beautiful — ROYAL OAK

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is the one true church, apostolic and universal, whose holy faith let us now declare:

We believe in God the Father, infinite in wisdom, power, and love, whose mercy is over all his works, and whose will is ever directed to his children’s good. We believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of man, the gift of the Father’s unfailing grace, the ground of our hope, and the promise of our deliverance from sin and death. We believe in the Holy Spirit as the divine presence in our lives, whereby we are kept in perpetual remembrance of the truth of Christ, and find strength and help in time of need. We believe that this faith should manifest itself in the service of love as set forth in the example of our blessed Lord, to the end that the kingdom of God may come upon the earth. Amen.

BENEDICTION

BENEDICTION RESPONSE The Lord Bless You and Keep You — John Rutter The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. Amen. (Numbers 6: 24-26)

GLORIA PATRI #405 Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God — SEEK YE

Simple Gifts — arr. Stephen Leek It’s a gift to be simple, it’s a gift to be free, it’s a gift to come ‘round where you ought to be. And when we find ourselves in the place just right, ‘twill be in the valley of love and delight.

CALL TO WORSHIP Our heavenly Father, we your humble children invoke your blessing on us. We adore you, whose name is love, whose nature is compassion, whose presence is joy, whose Word is truth, whose Spirit is goodness, whose holiness is beauty, whose will is peace, whose service is perfect freedom, and in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life. Unto you be all honor and all glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

WE GO AS GOD’S PEOPLE INTO THE WORLD

WE RENEW OUR COMMITMENT OFFERTORY The King of Love My Shepherd Is — arr. Mack Wilberg The King of love my Shepherd is, whose goodness faileth never; I nothing lack if I am his and he is mine forever. Where streams of living water flow, my ransomed soul he leadeth; and where the verdant pastures grow with food celestial feedeth. In death’s dark vale I fear no ill with thee, dear Lord, beside me; thy rod and staff my comfort still, thy cross before to guide me. And so through all the length of days, thy goodness faileth never; Good Shepherd may I sing thy praise within thy house forever. DOXOLOGY #95 Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow — OLD 100th Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; praise God, all creatures here below; praise God above, ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
