All That Hath Life and Breath Praise Ye the Lord! — René Clausen Almighty God, through your only Son you overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life. Grant that we who celebrate our Lord’s resurrection, by the renewing of your Spirit, arise from the death of sin to the life of righteousness; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. #312 Hail the Day That Sees Him Rise — LLANFAIR #887 Affirmation from Romans #71 Glory Be to the Father — GREATOREX After each prayer, the leader may conclude: Lord, in your mercy. All may respond: Hear our prayer. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. #191 Jesus Loves Me — JESUS LOVES ME With God's help we will proclaim the good news and live according to the example of Christ. We will surround Champ and Virginia Mae with a community of love and forgiveness, that they may grow in their service to others. We will pray for them, that they may be true disciples who walk in the way that leads to life.
(Children, kindergartners through third grade, are invited to exit the Sanctuary for Children’s Worship. Children will return to reserved pews in the Sanctuary at the close of worship.)
GOD'S WORD PROCLAIMED CANTICLE
SCRIPTURE
To the Lamb on the Throne — Dan Forrest Worthy the lamb. Ye servants of God, your Master proclaim, and publish abroad His wonderful name; the name all victorious of Jesus extol; HIs kindgom is glorious and rules over all. "Salvation to God, who sits on the throne," let all cry aloud, and honor the Son; the praises of Jesus the angels proclaim, fall down on their faces and worship the Lamb. God rules in the height, almighty to save; though hid from our sight, His presence we have, the great congregation His triumph shall sing, ascribing salvation to Jesus our King. Then let us adore and give Him His right, all glory and power, all wisdom and might; all honor and blessing with angels above, and thanks never ceasing and infinite love. John 20:19-31 (pew Bible New Testament page 141) This is the word of God for the people of God. Thanks be to God.
