Memórias do passado escravista transbordam em paisagens etéreas e ruídos angustiantes. O documentário “A Morte Branca do Feiticeiro Negro” apresenta uma inédita história dos tempos brutais de escravidão no Brasil através de um ensaio visual, trazendo uma reflexão sobre silenciamento e invisibilização do povo preto em diáspora, numa jornada íntima e sensorial. Imagens da permanência, em um grito que atravessa séculos.

Memories of a slavery past overflow into ethereal landscapes and harrowing noises. The short film “The White Death of the Black Wizard” presents an unprecedented history of the brutal times of slavery in Brazil, through a visual essay that brings a reflection on the silencing and invisibility of the black people in diaspora, in an intimate and sensory journey. Images of permanence, in a scream that spans centuries.

Rodrigo Ribeiro

Rodrigo Ribeiro é um cineasta negro dedicado a temáticas sociais e raciais. Diretor, roteirista e montador, acredita em uma arte liberta e na formidável revolta dos marginalizados. Colaborador do Núcleo Criativo da produtora Gata Maior Filmes, dirigiu o curta metragem “Quadro Negro”, selecionado para mostra no 47º Festival de Cinema de Gramado.

Rodrigo Ribeiro is a black filmmaker dedicated to social and racial issues. Director, screenwriter and editor, he believes in free art and in the formidable rebellion of the marginalized. Collaborating with the Creative Hub of the Gata Maior Filmes production company, he directed the short film “Quadro Negro”, selected for the 47th Festival de Cinema de Gramado.
