Since first opening its doors, the Center for the Arts has impacted the lives of more than six million patrons. Guests of all ages and interests have found something innovative and fascinating at this cultural anchor that entertains, educates, and enriches our community. The financial and volunteer support of the Friends of the Center for the Arts makes it possible to present world-renowned performances at ticket prices designed to welcome a broad and diverse audience—even though the costs of presenting those performances often exceed the income from ticket sales. The continued and enthusiastic support of the Friends of the Center for the Arts enables the Center for the Arts to offer a breadth of high-quality programming in music, dance, theater, opera, and more.

Meet and interact with other members! The Friends of the Center for the Arts hosts a variety of special events each season. All members are invited to join us for creatively themed receptions. This includes the Season Preview, where members are the first to hear about the upcoming season of performances before the general public. Members at the Contributor level or higher ($150+) are invited to the exclusive Artists in Conversation events. These free events provide a behind-the-scenes look into performances and are led by guest artists and members of Mason’s faculty.

Get the best seats in the house! Members of the Friends of the Center for the Arts receive access to tickets before they go on sale to the public.

Refreshments Relax before any Great Performances at Mason or Family Series event in the Friends-Only Refreshment Area. Enjoy a complimentary snack and drink before heading into the Concert Hall.
