The Choreographers Georgia Dahill-Fuchel is a senior from New York City where she attended Ballet Hispanico as well as Fiorello LaGuardia High School for Music, Art and the Performing Arts. She has had the pleasure of attending summer intensives at many wonderful establishments such as Boston Conservatory, Bounce!, and Alvin Ailey.

She has had the privilege of participating in the George Mason School of Dance’s annual Gala in Hope Boykin’s piece entitled “Running to and Toward”. Georgia would like to thank her incredible mentors Shaun D’Arcy and Roger Jeffrey for their support and insightful feedback. She would also like to shower her cast with gratitude for their generosity of spirit, bravery, vulnerability, and insane talent during this process. Creating the music and choreography for this piece was an absolute privilege!

Nia Davis is a senior at George Mason University School of Dance. She is originally from Queens, NY and attended LaGuardia High School. Nia has been able to be a part of a variety of residencies and student choreographies throughout her four years here which influenced her to want to choreograph. Besides dance and choreography Nia is interested in graphic design and becoming an entrepreneur.

Nolan Eisenhaur was born and raised in Saco, Maine, where he started dancing at the age of 15 as a hobby through his high school’s performing arts program. For his senior year of high school, Nolan wanted to take dance more seriously and joined the Community Dance Project Competition team based out of his hometown. After graduating in 2018 from Thornton Academy, he attended school at a private college in the heart of Boston deciding to major in Communications. Still dancing with every opportunity, he could find, not too far into freshman year he realized his heart was still with dance and wanted to follow his dream. After getting accepted into George Mason University School of Dance, immediately he felt he had made the best life-changing decision for himself. Since coming to Mason, Nolan has participated in the Vim Vigor Winter Intensive, Houston Ballet Academy Adult Intensive, Bounce Dance Convention, and even had the pleasure of performing Larry Keigwin’s new work, Parade, in the 2022 Mason School of Dance Gala Concert. He is looking forward to his senior year and can’t wait to continue choreographing on such gifted performers in this program. Nolan wants to remind people to “Always follow your passion. The rest will attend to itself” — J. Michael Straczynski.

Kylie Grossmann is originally from Boston Massachusetts. She graduated from Boston Arts Academy in 2018. Kylie is currently a senior dance major at George Mason University and will be graduating this year with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and a minor in Arts Management. She has had the pleasure of being in choreography

by Camille A Brown, Maleek Washington, Roger Jeffrey, Shaun Boyle Darcy, Earl Mosley, Christopher Ralph, Patrick O’Brien, etc. In fall 2021, she had the pleasure of restaging her work, right now, later, never.. maybe sometime, on the dancers at Colgan High School. Kylie is excited to share her new work Refugee with you tonight.

Kylie is eager to keep exploring her voice as a choreographer.

The Choreographers (continued) Macie Harris is a junior from Carmel, Indiana. In Indiana, she attended Expressenz Dance Center where she was given the opportunity to work with various well-known individuals in the dance community. Throughout high school and college, she has been fortunate enough to attend intensives with Doug Varone and Dancers, Visceral Dance Chicago, NYU Tisch, and more. Recently, Macie was selected to learn Camille A. Brown’s City of Rain as well as a new work, Parade by Larry Keigwin that she performed in March at Mason School of Dance Gala Concert. Macie could not be more thrilled to present her work, second work for the company and is immensely grateful for the support various George Mason University School of Dance faculty members have provided her during this process. Moreover, Macie would like to express her gratitude to her lovely cast members for their dedication, commitment, and excitement throughout this choreographic process. The laughter and light they brought to the room every day is something Macie will forever cherish.

Hadiya Matthews is from Houston, Texas. Hadiya is a senior BFA dance major at George Mason and is pursuing a minor in Criminal, Law, and Society. She has been cast in works by Adonis Foniadakis, Micaela Taylor, Rafael Bonachela, Christopher d’Amboise, Hope Boykin, Shaun Darcy Boyle, and Larry Keigwin here at Mason. She is also pursuing an internship in marketing with a start-up company.

Victoria Ortiz, a rising senior, was born and raised in Bronx, NY, where she attended Ballet Hispánico and was an intern, teacher assistant, and Nuestro Futuro Recipient. She also graduated from Talent Unlimited High School for Performing Arts in Manhattan, NY. Victoria has had various performances at the Apollo Theatre, The Martha Graham School, Viacom, and Ballet Hispánicos Carnaval Gala at The Plaza Hotel, honoring and meeting Latin music superstars Emilio & Gloria Estefan.

Not only is Vicky a dancer, but she is well interested in marketing, community engagement, and teaching to inspire young children. Thankfully, she is happy to present her first choreographed piece, Resilience, at the Harris Theatre and would like to thank her cast for their patience, talent, and skills along this journey!

Angela Shipley is a senior dance major at George Mason University. Originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, she attended the Governor’s School for the Arts in high school and graduated from the dance department in 2018. During her time at Mason, she has had the pleasure of working with guest artists and faculty such as Hope Boykin, Larry Keigwin, and Christopher d’Amboise. Angela is extremely excited to premiere her work Game Over and is immensely grateful to her cast for their hard work and inspiration during the process. She would also like to thank her family and friends for the continuous love and support.
