ARE YOU PREPARED? Here are a few things you can do before, during and after a storm:

Trim dead tree branches and cut down dead trees on your property. Fasten down anything that can be blown around outside your home. Clear drains and gutters. Make sure generator is accessible. Gather your emergency supplies well in advance of any storm warnings. Make sure your home is properly insulated. Secure all doors and windows. Keep your cell phones charged. Tune your radio to a local station with regular weather reports. After a storm, use precaution near downed powerlines and other debris.

Keep your car’s gas tank full. Make sure your car battery, tires and windshield wipers are in good condition. Drive with your lights on. Use yellow tinted night driving glasses to reduce glare. Inform someone of your destination and when you expect to arrive beforehand. Keep cell phone full charged. NEVER text and drive.
