But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” JEREMIAH 17:7-8

Over the past decade, we have experienced tremendous growth as one of the most sought-after private Christian schools in the Greater Houston region. Recently, Cypress Christian School was named the top 4A private school in the state, winning the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools 2021 Henderson Cup for 4A schools in Texas.

A change is necessary to uphold our mission of honoring the Lord Jesus Christ by providing students an education based on academic excellence and biblical values. We, in turn, will dedicate time and energy to building culture, pursuing excellence, and resourcing growth. The Warrior Family Culture We will continue to maintain the One Heart culture that makes Cypress Christian School feel like home and is at the core of every aspect of the Warrior family. Our culture sets us apart from other institutions, and it is at the forefront of priorities to let nothing alter the environment we have so carefully cultivated.

Why Bridgeland? Our current campus is running out of space. We have nearly reached our 700-student enrollment capacity and have limited room for future growth. Cypress Christian School has a commuter student body, with the vast majority of our families traveling multiple miles daily to attend school and other activities at our current location. Our research shows that more than half of our families will experience a decreased commute to the Bridgeland location. The Bridge to Our Future is the next generational chapter in the Cypress Christian School story. For the past three years, the Board has sought the Lord through prayer, study, and thoughtful consideration of future opportunities. Cypress Christian School has been presented with an opportunity the Board feels led to pursue—to move to Bridgeland. This will make possible the development of a state-of-the-art facility. We will create a fresh environment to unify our vibrant, close-knit Warrior family. And, we will enhance our powerful One Heart culture. The need for Christ-centered, high-quality education in America has never been greater or more obvious. The time is now to act and secure the future for continued excellence in our dynamic Cypress Christian School curriculum and community. By prayerfully and decisively stepping out in faith today, we will ensure the Cypress Christian School mission will continue in northwest Houston for generations to come.

Our Vision To strengthen our One Heart culture, increase our capacity for excellence, and honor our Lord Jesus Christ, we will secure land, build a 1,000-student facility, and open Cypress Christian School at Bridgeland by 2025.

Our Dream We envision a campus that will propel Cypress Christian School toward opportunities for growth, strengthen our community, and reinforce our culture. Since its founding, Cypress Christian School has become a top private institution not only in the state of Texas but the entire nation. The legacy we endeavor to leave will become more prominent as we move to a location that will allow us to enhance our mission and facilitate extended space for future generations of leaders to be equipped for stewardship.

Cypress Christian School is a highly sought-after institution, and it is our heartfelt desire to continue to welcome students into the Warrior family. By relocating, it is our belief the Bridgeland campus will enable Cypress Christian School to more faithfully steward the blessings God has given us, allowing our school to positively impact the surrounding community and reach more students and families with the Lord’s Kingdom purpose. Cypress Christian School will design, develop, and build beautiful new facilities that will enhance our programming excellence by providing students with needed space and premier resources. The multi-phased plan will allow us to grow our music and fine arts-focused programs, as well as customize facilities for athletics and other co-curricular programs.

An Invitation from Our Leaders

F

irst, we want to thank each of you for choosing to be part of the Warrior family and trusting our exceptional leadership, faculty, and staff with your child’s education. We have come to a crossroads,

a legacy-building opportunity that will strengthen the Kingdom impact of Cypress Christian School for generations to come. The vision that God has in store for us will be best realized if we journey together and unite in the wonderful opportunity presented. For the past three years, the Leadership Team and Board of Directors have joined together weekly,

LYLE WILLIAMS Chairman of the Board Cypress Christian School

covering each discussion and decision in prayer. Witnessing the thoughtfulness and dedication behind each detail of this dream has been a great inspiration to us, personally, and we hope it similarly encourages you that no matter what, the best interest of the Warrior family and the future of Cypress Christian School remain our top priorities. We are confident that God is calling us according to Cypress Christian School’s established mission of “honoring the Lord Jesus Christ by providing students an education based upon academic excellence and biblical values.” The Board stands behind our current administrative leadership, believing in their character and that God has brought them to us and gifted them with exceptional skills and wisdom to guide and direct our school during this transition. The One Heart culture embodied by the Warrior family has only been made possible by the outstanding people who make up our community. Each and every individual plays an essential role in who we are as Cypress Christian School. The buildings and facilities do not make up Cypress Christian School but rather serve as a place that houses the Warrior heart. Moving to Bridgeland creates the opportunity for Cypress Christian School to prosper and thrive in a new setting while maintaining the feeling of home, where we

foster community and can take part in daily life with one another. We invite each one of you to join in praying for the future of Cypress Christian School, that we can continue to be good stewards of the opportunity that God has placed before us. Together, with God’s provision, we will become Cypress Christian School at Bridgeland. Blessings, Lyle Williams, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Dr. Jeffrey D. Potts, Executive Director
