THINKING IN A CREATIVE WAY Mr. Stephen Novotny | Executive Director

he ability to think differently from others is a gift that God gives to each individual and is part of our unique privilege of being made in His image. We focus on this at Cypress Christian School. Most people know Henry Ford as the individual who successfully pioneered the mass production of automobiles. Most people would not think of Henry Ford as a pioneer of charcoal briquettes and the family barbeque. However, the iconic Kingsford brand, and the evolution of charcoal briquettes as an American outdoor cooking staple, owes its heritage to Ford just as much as the modern-day car industry. Mr. Ford’s genius was innovation; the way he thought of things in ways others did not. Mr. Ford would find new unexpected ways to maximize efficiency and profitability in his operations. While family picnics and cooking outdoors was probably not the foremost thing in Mr. Ford’s mind, he did

notice that the process of manufacturing those early automobiles created large volumes of wood scraps. Rather than allowing unused parts of wood, purchased at considerable expense to build cars, to simply go to waste, he wanted to find a way to make a profit from what seemed to be useless scraps and byproducts of the manufacturing process. He found that turning his wood scraps and waste into charcoal, then re-selling them in this new form as charcoal cooking briquettes, was a way to achieve that goal. In doing this, Ford created yet another part of the American experience just as iconic as the automobile–the family barbeque and the Kingsford charcoal brand. At Cypress Christian School, we teach our students to think independently, to think critically and to think creatively. We believe that our students are capable of inventing things just as unique and useful as Henry Ford did, and we are committed to helping prepare them for their own exciting life of discovery.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Mrs. Iva Nell Rhea | Middle School Principal

ypress Christian School (CCS) rests upon three legsâ&#x20AC;&#x201C;academic excellence, biblical values and cultural impact. These three must be equally strong and secure. As an educational institution, the leg of academic excellence must always be a critical part of the mission of the school. CCS offers students, grades K-12, a carefully crafted, college preparatory educational experience. Cypress Christian School, a TAPPS 4A school, is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED. This accreditation is recognized by the state through the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC). CCS was last examined and visited for reaccreditation in 2016 and received the highest level of accreditation. There are currently more than 100 faculty and staff who care for, nurture, and educate our students each school day. All faculty are degreed and certified teachers with 30% teachers and administrators holding advanced degrees. Even though it requires employees of great variety to operate the school, the teachers are the heartbeat of CCS. A visitor to campus can easily see genuine compassion and love extended to the youngest student who has tears as he separates from his

parent in August to the senior who is anxiously awaiting a letter from the admissions committee of a university. The teachers are dedicated to providing an engaging, age-appropriate classroom experience that moves each child along the path of academic preparation for his unique future. Beyond the instruction in the classroom, teachers and administrators diligently work to improve horizontal and vertical coordination and cooperation. Approximately seven years ago, CCS onboarded ATLAS curriculum mapping software. The data provided by teachers and administrators on ATLAS allows for greater strategic planning and development in curriculum and instruction from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. The secondary school seeks to offer students opportunities to add rigor to their academic trajectory. Beginning in seventh grade, a student may take advanced classes in English Language Arts and mathematics; this culminates in our Advanced Placement (AP) classes in high school. For grades nine through twelve, CCS currently offers 17 honors courses and ten AP courses, which potentially allows students to gain college credit by examination.

A great school is self-monitoring. Cypress Christian School has purposely placed several means of assessment throughout the grades to examine student academic progress and then, in turn, to analyze the results to seek strategic improvement. Students in grades K-8 take the Terra Nova 3 each April. This battery of tests is nationally normed and meets rigorous measurement standards. Students in grades 8-10 take the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) to determine college readiness in specific academic areas. During the junior and senior years of high school, students take the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and American College Testing (ACT) college

admissions tests. Two full-time academic advisors walk students and parents through the high school planning path of college selection and the application process. All CCS graduates are accepted into colleges and universities, with many seniors accepted to multiple schools that offer substantial academic based financial aid packages. Academic excellenceâ&#x20AC;&#x201D;the pursuit of this portion of our school mission is never complete. We prayerfully seek new ways to serve our families and students by providing an educational experience that challenges the mind and impacts the world as a Warrior for the Kingdom.

cademic Excellence, Biblical Values, Cultural Impact. If you have spent any time at all on our campus, you have heard these words. These encapsulate the reason and purpose for our existence. At CCS, we are blessed with the freedom to daily incorporate our biblical values in every aspect of our teaching. Many of our new teachers are delighted to discover that they not only have the freedom to discuss their faith during their instruction, but that we also expect that they integrate the Bible in their subject matter. At the very core of our school is a conviction that the Bible is God’s Holy Word to mankind. We believe in the authority and inspiration of the Bible. Students at CCS are given daily instruction in this holy book from kindergarten through grade twelve. They are memorizing God’s Word and pledging daily to “hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.” New parents to CCS regularly comment, “It’s been amazing to see the change in my child. Johnny seems like a totally different person, and he shares with us each day the teachings he has learned from the Bible.” From daily prayer, to weekly chapel services, to daily Bible classes, our students are immersed in God’s Word. These years are critical for our students to learn God’s Word to be spiritually grounded so that they may impact our culture.

Science is an amazing subject to teach from a Christian perspective. The Bible says that the heavens are declaring God’s glory. Our teachers direct their students to learn of their omniscient, omnipotent Creator as evidenced in all aspects of science. History is literally a study in “His (God’s) story” as we observe the sovereignty and control of God in human events. When we consider mathematics, it is stunning to view the incredible order and structure of our Creator as evidenced through mathematical

systems. Language is studied with the purpose of recognizing that the Creator gave us this wonderful gift that we should use in oral and written form to further the cause of the Creator. As the elementary principal, I am passionate that my employees are followers of Christ who love our Lord and desire to impact students for His kingdom. Our biblical values are upheld in the way that employees relate to each other, to their students and to parents. We are careful to ensure that our speech and actions glorify God. When handling matters of

discipline, our teachers go to the root of the problem by applying biblical principles to difficult situations. For example, when discussing the topic of lying with a student, I reference Godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Word to demonstrate that the reason we are to be truthful is found in the fact that the Creator and Master instructs us to be truthful. Since we love Him, our highest goal should be to please God in how we act. We are truly grateful for the freedom to incorporate biblical values at the core of our school as we strive to be Warriors for Christ.

want the world. I want the whole world. I want to lock it all up in my pocket. It’s my bar of chocolate. Give it to me now.” – Veruca Salt. Perhaps there are times while interacting with a child that you feel like you have been thrust into the middle of Roald Dahl’s classic novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Some may have a young child at home who struggles to share and seems to have a vocabulary limited to “me” or “mine.” Others may live with a teenager who cannot pass a mirror without stopping to fix his hair or flex his biceps. Whether a child is five or fifteen, too often his own selfish desires cause him to miss countless opportunities to see the needs of others. At Cypress Christian School, we believe that our students should follow the biblical model given by Jesus in Mark 12 when he instructs, “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

How do CCS Warriors love their neighbor? We strive to serve others and impact those around us. Did you know that in only one year our high school students performed over 7,000 hours of service? Were you aware that this spring our high school students dedicated a full school day serving the greater Houston community? Even the youngest students on our campus focus on serving others. Our elementary students spend time each winter providing gifts for children with their annual Operation Christmas Child project. Last Christmas, CCS gathered sixty-three Christmas gift boxes to be delivered around the world, expanding our school’s commitment to service well beyond our city and nation. Cypress Christian School exists to educate the whole child by providing academic excellence, teaching biblical values, and creating opportunities to impact the lives of others. We believe this knowledge has the power to change the lives of our students which empowers them to change the world.

CULTURAL IMPACT HIGHLIGHTS Vision: to positively impact culture by promoting truth, advancing the Christian faith, and equipping students to serve and lead with excellence.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Operation Christmas Child – Students filled shoe boxes with various gift items and gospel literature to be delivered to children in countries all around the world. This is a wonderful way for students to help share the gospel message. MIDDLE SCHOOL Sweets for Firemen and Constables – Homemade dessert trays were delivered to fire stations and a law enforcement office with a note of thanks for their service. Thank You to CCS Teachers and Staff – CCS teachers and staff were blessed with large trays of goodies as a BIG THANK YOU to say, "We appreciate all you do every day!" Blankets for Project Linus – Students purchased materials, lovingly made and prayed over 27 colorful fleece blankets with children’s designs for Project Linus. Project Linus provides these blankets to comfort children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need of comfort. Feed My Starving Children – Students worked in teams to measure ingredients and package food bags to be sent to areas all around the world where food is scarce. Students had a great time and felt the joy of being the “hands of Christ.” Kids Meals – Students helped pack food for use in lunches, assembled and decorated sack lunches and performed various tasks. Kids Meals is volunteer-based and delivers thousands of meals to young children who are not yet in school and may go hungry if food is not provided. HIGH SCHOOL Warrior Tribes – Cypress Christian School uses a small group model to facilitate student development in the areas of Christian discipleship and service. Each one of these small groups is named after an Old Testament tribe of Israel or patriarch that our students learn about in CCS Bible classes.

PLACES WARRIOR TRIBES SERVED THIS YEAR Elim Christian School – Students led Bible reading, singing and academic projects and enjoyed working with Elim students to make fleece blankets for children in local hospitals. Grace Care Center Northpointe – Students enjoyed spending time with the residents and worked extremely hard cleaning and painting. The facility has already requested that our students come back any time. Cy-Hope – Students worked with the “Backyard Crew” of the Foundry Church raking leaves, burning branches, disassembling pallets and landscaping. Bayou City Fellowship Church – Students organized donations for foster families and other families in need so that they can easily come in and get what they need. Project C.U.R.E. – Students organized pallets of goods in the warehouse, organized and packed medical supplies inside the building and drained expired IV fluid bags. Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM) – Students worked in the office building to organize donations including baby supplies, crafts, personal hygiene products and clothing, and in the warehouse to organize donations for the resale shop. Community of Faith Church – Students served by filling baptismal packets, cleaning nursery classrooms and offering buckets, assembling cribs, moving furniture, and hauling away trash. REACH Unlimited – Students provided supplies and worked with residents to decorate Christmas cookies and other crafts. Elementary Tribal Wars at CCS – Students manned the various events or were paired with elementary school buddies. They helped and encouraged younger students during the annual Tug-of-War. Every student proved to be a blessing to the elementary students and to the games. • Designed cards for military overseas • Served at Mission of Yahweh • Served at Moore Elementary through Houston Northwest Church

CCS GRADUATION

The 2017 graduating class had 52% of its members earn the President's Volunteer Service Award for 200 hours of service. In many cases, graduates served significantly more than those hours.

Valedictorian CCS Faculty Scholarship

for Academic Excellence Brandon Clarke earned the distinguished honor of being named Valedictorian for achieving the highest grade point average in his class, and was awarded the Faculty Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Brandon will attend The University of Texas, Austin.

Salutatorian Quinn Davis, Salutatorian

achieved the second highest grade point average among his peers and will attend Berry College. Life verse: Hebrews 4:12-13. For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Fine Arts

Scholarship The Fine Arts Scholarship, which reflects an overall excellence in the arts, was awarded to Hannah Hurst. Hannah will attend The University of Texas, Austin.

Will Rhodes Athletic Scholarship

In memory of former CCS student William David Rhodes, Korey Cyr and Quinn Davis were chosen to receive this athletic scholarship. These graduates have made public profession of their faith in Jesus Christ, demonstrated Christ-like behavior to fellow students and athletes, and were living witnesses to others as they led their teams and followed their coaches. Korey will attend The University of Texas, Tyler. Quinn will attend Berry College.

Travis Chaffin Memorial Scholarship

In memory of former CCS student Travis Chaffin, Kaylee Martinez was awarded a scholarship for being an encourager, leader, great athlete and friend as well as for her potential to make an impact on the world with her Christian walk. Kaylee will attend Mountain View College. Her life verse is Joshua 1:5. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Spirit of Paul

Scholarship In honor of CCS supporters Sherwood Beckley, Jerry Van Beek and Edith Van Beek, Chris McKnight was awarded this scholarship for exhibiting the driving spirit and perseverance of the Apostle Paul who accomplished much for the early church. Memorial Heart of Gold Scholarship In memory of alumnus Andrew Gladney ('05), Davis Carver was awarded this scholarship which recognizes a senior who loves and accepts all, both inside and outside the CCS community; endears others without favoritism; participates wholeheartedly in activities to reflect Christian character and sportsmanship; and diligently pursues and excels academically according to his/her ability. Each year, two seniors are recognized for excellence in athletics through their leadership, determination, sportsmanship, Christian character, academic achievements and integrity.

MATTHEW KOOIMAN

Matthew earned TAPPS All-District honors in football for three years, he played soccer one year, and he played basketball for three years. He is a hard worker, dedicated and committed to his teammates. He has proven to be as strong in the classroom as he is with his teammates, and he earned Academic All-State honors in both his junior and senior years. Matthew will take this commitment and determination with him to play football at Olivet Nazarene University in the fall as he seeks a degree in Sports Management.

MORGAN SPENCER-ROTH

Morgan earned six varsity letters in high school through participation in basketball and track & field. She received TAPPS All-District and All-Region honors. She made the Academic All-State Team in both her junior and senior years and received numerous team awards. She is a proven leader, an encourager to all and she can compete on any level no matter the circumstances, fighting through potentially seasonending injuries to compete in district, at regionals, at state and set her own personal best record. Morgan will attend Abilene Christian University pursuiting a degree in the medical field.

determination, sportsmanship, Christian character, academic achievements and integrity. They have represented middle school athletics well for three years, especially stepping up and demonstrating leadership as eighth graders. CONNECTION

ALL-STATE The highest TAPPS award that an individual athlete can earn is to be named to the All-State Team. This is an incredible honor that is earned by very few athletes. Not only are these athletes given an award, they also sign a special ball that is kept in the CCS trophy case to permanently display this accomplishment.

ACADEMIC ALL-STATE This award is given to junior and senior athletes who have not only shown tremendous ability on the field, but have also shown themselves to be dedicated students in the classroom. COLLEGE SIGNINGS The NCAA reports that just under 8% of high school athletes will participate in college athletics. This year, 50% of CCS senior football players will play at the next level in the fall. In total nine out of the 2017 graduating class of 54 students will play college athletics in football, basketball, soccer, baseball and softball for the 2017-2018 season.

Warrior Alumni on Campus

1. Jeremy Elkins (‘01) along with his wife Courtney and their children Cadence (1st) and Autumn (3rd) joined the Warrior family in the fall of 2016. Jeremy is the Chief Technology Officer at Corporate Managing Systems, Inc., and Courtney is a second grade teacher at CCS. As an alumnus Jeremy is thankful his daughters are able to attend the same school he attended - “a school in which they are taught God's Word every day.“ He says, “It's wonderful to have the girls come home and talk about the Bible stories that they are studying.“ Courtney says, “Teaching at CCS has been such a blessing. I love being surrounded by such thoroughly genuine, godly people. My students’ love for the Lord is evident and visible. I am thankful to be able to make a difference at CCS by helping my students develop educationally, socially and spiritually.“ Jeremy and Courtney say their girls have never been happier and have made so many wonderful, Christian friends. “God definitely ordered our footsteps and brought our family to CCS.“ 2. Zach Stocks (‘01), his wife Jorden and their three boys, Liam (7), Gage (4) and Drew (2) enjoyed touring CCS while visiting Houston. Zach says: “We received a very warm welcome and were happy to see all the additions to the campus. In a word, the visit was ‘surreal.’ Walking around campus brought back so many good memories. I am so thankful for the Biblical foundation I received at CCS.“ After his graduation from high school, Zach attended Alaska Bible College where he met his wife. Currently, they are ministering at Mt. Hope Bible Camp where Zach is the director, and he and his wife are missionaries with InFaith. They serve with an awesome staff to provide a distraction-free environment for people to come and learn about Christ in His creation. They are also very active in their local church. 3. Evan Weppler (‘07) is the Elementary Children's Pastor at Cypress Bible Church and spoke at the first K-8 chapel services held in the new Campus Life Center and Gym. Evan said, “It's always great to come back to CCS and see how much it has grown over the years. I enjoy seeing students grow in their faith and enjoy being able to encourage them through an engaging

message. It's a privilege to serve and speak at CCS and a privilege to see how God is working in the students’ lives through the combined influences of church, family and school.“ 4. Ben Bennett (’12) recently visited the CCS campus before graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in mechanical engineering. While on campus, Ben filmed a short video on his experience as a CCS student and how CCS prepared him for college. In the video, Ben expresses his thankfulness for being prepared academically and spiritually for college. He is thankful to have been instructed by teachers who were committed to educational excellence, biblical values and who greatly cared for each student. Being saturated with the Truth helped give him a foundation to work from in terms of knowing who he is in Christ and walking it out with integrity. 5. Jonathan Davis (’10) enjoyed his role as the CCS JV boys head basketball coach, assistant varsity basketball coach and middle school track coach during the '16-'17 season and enjoyed his role as substitute teacher throughout the year. Jonathan is pleased to report he has been hired as a secondary Spanish teacher for the ’17-’18 school year and will once again help coach high school boys’ basketball. He looks forward to coaching in the new gym next season. While earning his master’s degree at Texas A&M University, he worked for the Aggie men’s basketball team as a graduate assistant and served as the Aggieland Homeschool Association’s boys’ 14U head basketball coach. He also coached basketball clinics for Aggieland, and held training courses and created training curriculum for Texas Elite Adidas Basketball. Jonathan attends New Life Church. 6. Lauren Davis (’12) enjoyed attending the grand opening of the Campus Life Center and Gym with her brother Jonathan (’10) and parents Jim and Michelle. Last year, she graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a B.B.A. in marketing and began work for Young Life. She has greatly enjoyed mentoring students, sharing the gospel, event planning and camp preparation at various Young Life camps and offices. She attends New Life Church where she volunteers in the outreach program, on the worship and prayer teams and helps with graphic design and curriculum.

1. John Brown (‘09) graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University. John also took another important step in life and married Selena in an intimate ceremony in Nacogdoches, TX. John is a registered nurse at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, and Selena is completing her nursing degree at Stephen F. Austin State University. 2. Michael Teague (‘10) graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and is working at a physical therapy clinic in Keller, TX. He and his fiancé Catherine Eamma were married on June 24, 2017.

Elena Ray (‘12) graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a B.S. in nutrition and was accepted to the B.S.N. nursing program at UTMB in Galveston. She is very excited to take the next step in her education as she pursues her goal of becoming a nurse anesthetist.

1. Lindsay Ehrhardt (‘05) recently performed with the A.D. Players in their production of the classic comedy “You Can’t Take It With You.” She was thrilled to work with this well-respected company and to perform in the new A.D. Players’ theater in the Galleria area. Lindsay is a member of the Classical Theatre Company and has performed in more than 20 productions in recent years. Lindsay is a graduate of Baylor University where she earned a B.F.A. in theater performance.

2. Kelsie Salmon Moore (’07) and husband Kent recently bought their first house in Lubbock, TX. Kelsey works for Lubbock Christian University as an Admissions Advisor. Kent is an Escrow Officer for Title One. They just adopted their first pet—a greyhound named Henry. 3. Hallie Salmon (‘10) used her major in International Studies from Texas A&M University across the world last year. She taught English at the New York

Language School in Loja, Ecuador, and worked as an au pair in Rome. 4. Cody Franklin (’11) is using his degree in forestry and minor in recreation, parks and tourism from Texas A&M University as a Front Country Recreation Technician for the U.S. Forest Service. He is stationed in North Bend, WA working at Mount Baker in the Snoqualmie National Forest.

1 1. Joshua Clark (’01) married Amanda Orzechowski on December 17, 2016, in a beautiful ceremony in Scotch Plains, NJ. They work together doing balloon art and face painting in the New York Area and live in New Jersey. 2. Steve Dansby (’05) married Ashton in May 2017. Steve is a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in computer information systems. He owns a digital marketing agency called, “WeGrowYourBrand.com.” He and Ashton attend Lakewood Church. She surprised him with a groom’s cake to commemorate a company he cofounded called b12energybar.com.

4. Brian Fredrich (‘10) & Rachael Elkins Fredrich (‘10) were married on August 6, 2016, in St. Croix. The couple was blessed to have family and fellow CCS alumni by their side for their special day: maid of honor Elizabeth Elkins (‘04), bridesmaid Amanda Cronin (‘10), groomsman Trevor Sparks (‘10), flower girls and current CCS students Autumn and Cadence Elkins, usher Jeremy Elkins (‘01), sister-in-law and current CCS teacher Courtney Elkins and wedding guests alumna Cat Crozier Sparks (‘10) and former CCS student Taylor McCraw. Brian and Rachael live in New York where Brian is studying for his master’s degree at Cornell University, and Rachael is a nurse.

4 1. Micah Gertson (’01) and wife Jannat welcomed baby Alexander Nour into the world on Oct. 4, 2016. Micah says, “He is growing well and loves his big brother Jonah (2 1/2 years old).” After earning his MBA with high honors at Boston University in 2016, Micah is working for Altman Vilandrie & Co. as a strategy consultant to the technology, media and telecom industries. Jannat enjoys her job as a pharmacist. They split time between two Boston area churches-Arabic Evangelical Church of Boston and Grace Chapel Watertown. 2. Melinda Reynolds Ivie (’03) and husband Clint have a beautiful baby girl named Rylee who will be oneyear old on July 27, 2017. Melinda is an award-winning designer and project manager at M. Swabb Decor + Style. She has used her degree in interior design from the Art Institute of California in San Diego and her experience to help the company remain one of the top design firms in southern California. She specializes in commercial spaces and also enjoys remodels and residential custom furniture design. In her spare time, she volunteers for Habitat for Humanity.

5 3. Michael Anderson (’04) and wife Laura welcomed Graham Wayland Anderson on Jan. 31, 2017. Graham weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz. and measured 21.5 inches. Michael and his family live in Nashville, TN. Michael holds a B.S. in computer science from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in computer science from Vanderbilt University. He is the CEO of GameWisp, Inc., which helps online content creators build their careers, and Laura is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. They attend church at MidTown Fellowship and love being parents to Graham. “It is amazing to be a father,” says Michael. “We love our curious, smiley and fun little boy, and we are excited to watch him grow up!” 4. Nathan Gertson (’05) and his wife Claire are enjoying raising their oneyear old son, Graham Floyd Gertson. Nathan is an insurance agent in the Springfield, MO area, and Claire has a full-time job bringing up little Graham. “Life is beautiful,” says Nathan. 5. Jordan Canik (‘07) and wife Kathryn welcomed 8 lb., 6 oz. Amber Lynn into the world on Nov 30, 2016.

Amber is the first grandchild and great grandchild on both sides of the family. Jordan is the manager of a Sherwin Williams store in Frisco, TX, and Kat is a national sales support representative for Spectrum Business. 6. Whitney Green Marquardt (’07) and husband Adam welcomed their second child on April 29, 2017. Avery Grace Marquardt was born weighing 7 lb., 3oz. “We feel so blessed that God chose us to be this sweet girl’s parents,” says Whitney. “Our two-year old, Colton, adores his little sister.” Whitney is a labor and delivery nurse at Memorial Hermann Cypress. She and Adam will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary in September. 7. Lindsay Adam Santos (’08) and husband Ricardo welcomed Anthony Ramsey Santos on May 15, 2017. He weighed 10 lbs., 4 oz. and measured 21.5 inches. Lindsay is a nurse at Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands for a cardiology group. Ricardo is the logistics manager at a construction company. They attend Woodsedge Community Church in the Woodlands where Lindsay serves on the worship team.
