RACING REPORT
The summer racing season has certainly had its moments! Series 1 of the Phil Hoffmann Travel Twilight Series was completed just before Christmas. In Cruising Division B Richard Lea on Sahara won with Adrian Wotton on School’s Out second and The Bottom Line with Lee Haakmeester, David Roper and David Fawcett third just ahead of Synergy on countback. In Cruising Division A Graeme Footer on Marnico was first with Mark Johns on Aquila second ahead of Brenton Pegler on Playground in third place. This year there are more races in the Club Inshore Series which is sponsored by Yalumba Wines. So far Division 1 PHS is being led by Playground followed by Sintara (Derek Morrison) with Pirate (Keith Finch) in third. Division 2 PHS is being led by Kinetic Energy (Andy Shipp) from Locomotion (Peter Hall) with Rock On, Young Einstein and School’s Out hot on their heels. The AMS Series results have Sintara ahead of Shining Sea (Andrew Corletto) with Doctor Feelgood 3 (Wayne and Jason Coonan) third in Division 1 with Outlier (Ken Abbott) ahead of Ocean Hawk (Steve Emery) and Kinetic Energy (Andy Shipp) leading the way in Division 2. It is only part way through the series and the results will change and some may be due to damage to the boats. The Short Offshore Series still has one race to run. At present Sintara is leading on PHS from Venom (Robert Dunn) and Pirate (Keith Finch) and on AMS the leader is Pirate from Sintara and School’s Out.
