2021 TOP P&E
Robbie Turner was Born in Dallas, TX, raised in Beaumont TX. He got an early start into the car business at the age of 14 at his father’s first store,
JK Chevrolet. His first job was picking up cigarette butts and trash off the parking lot grounds and surroundings of the dealership, making sure the service drive stayed clean and dry, washing windows, and washing cars when needed. At the age to drive, he became a car porter for the dealership, continuing his prior responsibilities, also accepting the role of moving vehicles around the lot for a great presentation for the customers to see, also taking service customers home, and picking customers up as necessary.
During this time, he continued to gain great experience taking new vehicles to different dealerships and conducting dealer trades.
His father instilled in him and in all of his siblings to respect all jobs in their industry, as all jobs are important and vital to an organization's successful operation. Robbie was taught the mindset that no job should be beneath anyone. At the age of 19, he entered another milestone within the organization in becoming a salesman, one of the youngest on the floor. It seemed to be a spotlight for him as he began to flourish to the top, eventually becoming one of the top salesmen for the dealership part-time all while attending college. This was more than just about earning money while in school, but an opportunity for him to understand how special it was to be able to do something much bigger than himself. Robbie's memberships include: ● National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) ● National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers (NAMAD) ● NextGen Program ● Houston Automobile Dealers Association (HADA) ● LMA for Houston Chevy Dealers Board Member Robbie attended Prairie View A&M University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2015, and after graduation joined the family business at Turner Chevrolet full-time. He continued to sell cars for a few years then enrolled himself into the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) program to earn his credentials to become a car dealer. In 2018, he graduated from that program and was promoted to the position of vice president of operations, where he currently oversees the daily operations of the dealership. He plans to continue to grow that store and officially become the dealer of that location one day when his father decides to retire from the business.
