Giselle Hauser discovered at a young age that her love for making people happy was a gift. Little did she know that her gift of love would manifest years later in the form of delicious desserts. Who would've known that a quiet Friday night and a sweet tooth would equal a recipe for success? She began her baking journey with a desire to do more. She used quality ingredients, hand-whipped batter, and some willing taste testers to construct her first cake that would bear the name "It's Complicated." She knew she was onto something when her one-woman show could no longer keep up with the demands of her growing business. As her business began to grow, so did she. She obtained the necessary certifications for her business and took to the streets of Houston on a mission to make people fall in love at first bite. After some success, she knew she was capable of more. Using her faith as a guiding light, a new recipe was born. The flavor-packed banana pudding, "Love You More,” would take her business to the next level. This pudding would rival traditional banana pudding and add a new twist that kept dessert lovers craving more. Being new to the bakery business, she understood the importance of standing out. She took risks with texture and flavors by incorporating well-known cookies and homemade sauces that proved to be a hit! While her bakery was still growing, Ms. Hauser dedicated time to help those in need. She unselfishly gave a portion of her proceeds to a local charity and provided hot meals for the homeless on numerous occasions and continues her service in the community today. Baking with love is the main ingredient with each batch of desserts. Her ability to produce a consistent and quality product for consumers is a top priority. Ms. Hauser's continued experimentation with flavors and textures remains a foundational part of Güzel Cakes’ growth. What started as a melt-in-your-mouth cake in her apartment kitchen has transformed into a thriving bakery that serves businesses all over the Houston area.
