2023 Top Organization

The 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston Chapter was founded in 1994. The organization is considered one of the most active chapters and has won several major awards from the national organization. There are almost 80 active members and four auxiliary organizations – Emerging 100 of Metropolitan Houston, which caters to young professionals under the age of 35, and three chapters of Collegiate 100 at minority-serving institutions: University of Houston, Texas Southern University, and Prairie View A&M University. The Houston 100’s membership boasts black men from every professional background including medicine, mental health, law, business, entertainment, construction management, and education. The 100 Black Men focus on Mentoring, Education, Health and Wellness and Economic Employment. The organization is led by President Dr. Justin Washington.

Dr. Justin Washington

Dr. Washington is a compassionate dentist whose primary goal is to improve oral health in Houston and the surrounding areas. He has been a member of the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston since 2017 and previously served as the Health & Wellness Chairman. Dr. Washington is a graduate of Hampton University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and graduated with honors.

After his matriculation, Dr. Washington knew that he wanted to figure out a way to solve many community health problems. He continued his education by earning his Master of Public Health degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Washington was into the Delta Omega Honor Society for his academic excellence and community service.

He attended Meharry Medical College, where he served as Junior and Senior class president and graduated with honors. After graduating from Meharry, Dr. Washington completed a 1-year general practice residency with the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Professionally Dr. Washington is a partner at Cosmetic Dentistry of Texas, where he performs all phases of General and Cosmetic Dentistry. However, staying true to his mission, he worked in Public Health Dentistry with Harris Health System. Dr. Washington co-founded the Maternal Health Dental program, which provides dental care to expectant mothers through 3 months post-partum.

Tracee Seals

Tracee Seals, serves as the Executive Director for 100 Black Men Houston Chapter as well as the CEO of TraceeSealsSpeaks, LLC. She has worked as an Education Director for healthrelated non-profits as well as for-profit educational organizations. She serves as an Advocate for Healthcare and Wellness. She is an entrepreneur, and public speaker and wears many hats. organizations. Tracee holds a B.S.B.A degree in Business Administration and Literary Arts, Master’s in Healthcare Administration, from Belhaven Christian University and currently working on her PhD in Public Health. Tracee Hold certifications as a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE), OPA-C Orthopedic Physician Assistant-Certified), CHW (Certified Community Health Worker), CPS (Certified Public Speaker).
