Anzel Jennings

Aproud Houstonian, Anzel Jennings grew up in Houston’s Fifth Ward. He is a product of HISD and earned his high school diploma after successfully completing the Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice program. Jennings was a four-year letterman in basketball at Wheatley High School and attended McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.

Jennings has made history with his legendary work in the entertainment and sports industry. A strong business development professional, Jennings is known as a powerhouse in music and sports management, marketing, music publishing, music licensing, and other areas in the entertainment and sports industry.

Jennings’ music career started at RapA-Lot Records with the 5th Ward Boyz, the first group that introduced him to the management side of the business. In 1998, Jennings founded his own management and consulting company, Double Dose Entertainment, Inc. Since that time, his client roster continues to grow. Having managed some of the top heavyweights in the music and rap industry that include Bun B, UGK, Mike Jones, Tela and Do Or Die. Jennings became an intricate part of changing the landscape of Texas’ music scene by creating lucrative deals that shined the light on Houston artists and our city’s culture.

Jennings’ business acumen ultimately opened the door for him to partner with Floyd Mayweather and become the cofounder of The Money Team Music Group & Entertainment (TMT Music Group). This partnership helps artists live out their music dreams, while also educating them on the business side of the industry, providing an understanding of multimedia, and the importance of branding. Jennings also manages and helps guide professional athletes, by preparing them for life after sports.

Some of Jennings’ community involvement and leadership includes:

● Being instrumental in organizing “Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief,” which raised over $40M to support those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma

● Collaborated with the TMT Music Group to organize relief efforts for the Golden Triangle area providing buses and trucks, food, water, and other supplies.

● Organized and managed Floyd Mayweather’s covering of George Floyd’s funeral costs in Houston, Texas

● Managed the negotiation and organization and co-produced Bun B’s #HTownTakeover performance for the

2022 Rodeo Houston and the upcoming 2023 #SouthernTakeover performance.

Jennings has a great passion for serving our youth and is active in financially supporting and participating in afterschool programs and youth organizations around Houston.

He is married to the love of his life, Katana Jennings, and they have four amazing children, Lauryn, Kaylyn, Ashlyn, and Anzel II.
