I'm a Texas Bama. Southern raised with roots of Louisiana and Alabama. Named by my parents, Marcus and Bennie Sheppard, both retired HISD Educators. My name is pronounced "Money". My Mom gets upset if mispronounced lol. She manifested who I am today.

Private school raised, graduate of St. Agnes Academy. Starting Shooting Guard. Varsity all four years. All District and All State all four years. Five D1 offers included, TSU, Texas State, North Texas State, St. Edwards, and St. Mary’s.

Graduate of Hampton University with a BA In Political Science. Masters from Houston Baptist University. Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Former licensed paralegal for five years and history/economics teacher at Madison Highschool for 2 years. And then my calling came into vision in 2002. Received five WNBA invites for free agency including the Houston Comets. I was a former free agent with the Orlando Miracle. Three years of inner city basketball camps in third ward. Full Time Basketball training began in 2009. Rented gyms, trained at parks and private homes to pursue my God given vision of owning my gym and training student athletes to pursue Varsity ball as freshman and positioning for college recruitment. Hence, the ultimate goal of obtaining a college degree. Education is so important.

My gym, The Monee Pit opened January 22, 2013. Just made ten years. NCAA Certified AAU teams, the Monee Makers founded in 2015 with 11 signed thru my program with one being named SEC Freshman Player of the Year (Tennessee State). Eight holding college degrees. Faithful member of Higher Dimension Church since 1999 where I put on camps for inner city children. Pastor J taught me how to have faith. D-MARS’ book inspired me to keep pushing.

And here I am, To God be the Glory. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5 which is embedded on my court and tatted on my arm. Faith without works is dead.

Education was reinforced during my childhood. The name of my business is Education-n- Hoops, Inc. in honor of my parents and grandparents which was founded in July 2022. Unique family style with three brothers, God Mother, two sister in laws, two nephews, and two nieces. Two four legged children, Sir Charles and Miracle.
