She has trained several medical students, residents and fellows who have since graduated and are now practicing pediatric and adolescent gynecology throughout the United States. Dr. Yemi is also the author of multiple research papers published in peerreviewed journals and articles published by mainstream media on various topics of pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Her esteemed reputation is highly respected amongst peers. She continues to serve as a reviewer for medical journals and is on committees of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) with the goal of educating patients and peers on best gynecologic practices. In May 2022, she was presented the honorary degree of Doctor of Science and was the commencement Speaker at her alma mater St. Norbert College.
Since 2009, the medical professional has called Houston her home where she met her husband and welcomed three children. She considers herself a homebody and during her free time, she enjoys watching her kids play sports, loves Marvel movies and given the generally nice weather in Texas, enjoys a nice walk
