LTG’S MESSAGE LTG’S MESSAGE
HEY HEY WOLVES!!
WE DID IT! The school year has come to an end after all the finals and exams! Take a deep breath and pat yourself on the back for how much you have accomplished this year!
As we enter summer break, remember that school may be over but Key Club continues! I have so many fun events planned like service projects, socials, and training conferences; so keep an eye out for those! I have so much in store for our division this month, stick around to learn more!
Last month, we held our Erika’s Lighthouse Mental Health Awareness Week event, which was a great success! I wanted to remind you all that even if it is not Mental Health Awareness Month, YOUR MENTAL HEALTH STILL MATTERS! Take care of yourself this summer; go to the beach, sleep in bed all day, and eat well! Treat your body and mind with love!
I hope you all enjoy reading my very first newsletter issue!

On May 21, 2024, a member from Glendale Key Club, members of Eagle Rock Key Club, and our LTG were present for the second day of D03S’ mental health awareness week. This event was to create a mural of a lighthouse called the “Beacon Of Hope.” We then wrote hopeful and positive messages on it. We also spent time interclub bonding and bonding with our LTG.

Natacha Levings, STEM AcademyEvery semester, our school holds a de-stress day, two weeks before finals; and allows clubs to participate in the activity. We held a general meeting 2 weeks before the event and discussed what our booth was going to do on de-stress day. We all decided on candle making. Every member was right on time for their shifts, took their shift seriously, and showed cooperation. We all had a fun time as we all showed leadership and dedication. It was a great club bonding event.

The Division 3 South Clubs gathered together and painted rocks. Schools such as STEM Academy, Hoover High, Eagle Rock, John Marshall, Franklin, Glendale High, and Hollywood High were there at the event. We all had fun talking about the ways to spread kindness and how mental health is really important, as well as sharing our thoughts on different things. After we finished, we all helped each other clean up the tables, picked up any trash we left, and sorted out the art materials we had to take home. After we cleaned up, we took a division picture and left the park.
