Fun in the Sun!

I can’t believe we’re already in July! Summer is a time to relax and have fun. With all of our upcoming events, I’m sure you’ll have a blast! As you meet lots of cool new people, be sure to invite your friends to service events. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen in the heat.

Pokémon GO-TC

D10N x D10S sessions and workshops that helped officers and members cultivate the skills and knowledge it takes to be proud leaders of Key Club. Led by our passionate LTGs, we started

On June 15, Division 10 North and Division 10 South collaborated for their annual Officer Training Conference, this year’s theme being Pokémon. Generously hosted by the ReNew United Methodist Church, our day was filled with enthusiastic

with DCMs and a general session on “Key Club 101.” Through Pokémon

themed presentations, current and aspiring Presidents, Vice Presidents, Treasurers, Secretaries, and Editors learned the fundamentals of their position and how to engage their clubs for this term. As we have to catch em’ all, Round Robin taught attendees about service project ideas, CNH District’s preferred charities, and much more! Presentations about being SafeKEY and the importance of prioritizing mental health helped conclude our Pokémon GO-TC as members left the arena with valuable information and fond memories.

Historical Society Service

Temple City

Happy Summer Turtles!! As you start getting your summer spirit on, remember that services don’t stop where the school year stops! Temple City Key Club is continuing to provide their monthly service opportunities. Kicking off strong with Temple City’s Historical Society, Key Clubbers and members of the community are welcome to stop by and join in on a “work day” to help upkeep the museum. From indoor and outdoor tasks such as door repairs, window screen cleaning, gardening, mulch spreading, and helping with floor maintenance, TCKC is excited to collectively work on such a significant building on June 22nd. Friends, family, and everyone is welcome to join. Just be sure to dress in your work clothes and bring wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, and garden gloves (if you have any) to help out! Keep an eye out on more services coming this July and our annual collaborative events with the city such as Camp-A-Palooza and Concerts at the Park! We can’t wait to see you all there!

Senior Stole Ceremony

On May 22nd, 2024 it was the class of 2024’s last day. Marshall Key Club held their last meeting to honor the seniors that have contributed to our club. A total of four seniors received a stole for completing various achievements including 30+ service hours. The meeting was informational for the returning members and extra special for the Seniors. After the regular announcements, we had goodies for all of the members which including soda, chips, and cookies! It was such a special moment that truly brought the club together. The meeting was crucial for the underclassmen to get a feeling of what Key Club is like and how to earn a stole in the future. We were able to recognize the hard work that the seniors have put in their past 4 years and it was quite inspiring.

Member Recognition Program

How can I get recognized?

The CNH Member Recognition Program is a program designed to recognize a large number of dues-paid Key Club members with a minimum of fifty service hours that fulfill additional requirements. Please remember that being an on-time dues-paid member is a prerequisite to qualify for the Member Recognition Program. If your dues are not processed by December 1st in the Membership Update Center, you will not receive recognition. Furthermore, service hours for each recognition level are a prerequisite. Additional requirements are needed to qualify for all levels of recognition.

There are four levels of recognition, as explained in the rubric linked HERE: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum (platinum recipients will get an opportunity to go on stage at DCON 2025).

Member Recognition Program

How to get recognized?

Attend various types of Service Projects, Division Events, Kiwanis Events, and more to qualify for the different requirements! The Member Recognition Program is recorded by your Club Secretary in the Monthly Report Form, meaning they should be the ones keeping track of your MRP status. You do not need to submit anything yourself as a member, but make sure your club submits their club MRP data on time and accurately to your Division Lt. Governor.

What changed from last year?

The Member Recognition Committee has added additional events and examples in the MRP Guidelines to further clarify the requirements, such as Division Events and Division/District Committees! Please keep in mind that this is not a complete list of events that can qualify for MRP, just to help you see what categories an event can fulfill!
