Turtles !

I hope you are all doing well ! I have kept myself busy and my schedule has been filled with exciting projects and other activities. Currently, really miss boba and outside events with friends, but for safety reasons, I urge you all to stay home to keep everyone safe and healthy. While home, I’ve occupied my time with playing Animal Crossing and playing Minecraft : great alternatives to hanging out with friends outside. Again, I hope you are all doing great and I cannot wait to meet you ! Lam Chung Division News Editor

June was a very eventful month for D10s ! At the June March of Limes DCM, which was a joint DCM with D10s and D10n, we got introduced to the Spirit and Fund teams (listed on pg.5), and made dog toys as people donated, and the LTGs ate limes for each donation. You may have also seen a bingo donation story circulating, which was the D10s Fundraising Bingo, where club members donate to see their officer peers do a dare of their choice.

Club Gabrielino Key Club Partners with Six Feet Apart Blue turtles maintained their Key Club spirit... while six feet apart! In June, Gabrielino Key Club partnered with Six Feet Supplies to keep the community safe amidst the pandemic. Six Feet Supplies is a student-run organization that provides no-contact delivery service. Volunteers shopped for supplies and dropped off groceries, all while maintaining social distancing and adhering to CDC guidelines. Members worked both behind the scenes and in the frontlines. Through this service, key clubbers stayed connected with the San Gabriel community and continued to serve its residents.

Events Key Clubbers use the Free Rice App

For the entire month of June, Wilson and San Gabriel High School Key Clubbers participated using the Free Rice app. The Free Rice app is an app by The World Food Program to help fight world hunger. Every correctly answered question, they will donate 10 grains of rice and that rice will go into the ‘food basket’ where they will give out to families and children around the world depending on their emergency. Each of our members had an opportunity to earn about 50,000 grains of rice which will be donated.
