My sisters told me about Key Club since they were in it back then. I joined and I’ve been in Key Club since I first started High School, but I wasn’t as involved with it until the summer after my sophomore year. My experience before quarantine was the best I could hope for as I was able to meet my friend group and participate in service events with them, and we’d attend Fall Rally together. I ran for Vice President and Secretary my sophomore year, and became secretary come my Junior year. I applied for a position in Division 10 South’s fundraiser coordinating team and got in. My sophomore year flew by just like any other year, but half of it was gone. When quarantine/COVID-19 became more serious, my entire Junior year was virtual, so the Key Club experience wasn’t as great as everyone had hoped as it just wasn’t the same anymore. The term had ended, and I ran for President to try to improve that. Having been involved with Key Club on different levels, I wanted to be even more involved and even develop several other skills such as leadership, organization, etc. Furthermore, in my years with Key Club, I got to meet several kinds of people, and had fun spending time with those around me while serving the community! I wanted to be able to provide that to the others down the line, and so, I took my shot and ran for President of my Club, hoping to offer more to fellow Key Club members. So far, everything is going smoothly, but there are still countless things left on our agenda, and we’ll slowly be able to pull through this together. I plan to find new ways to motivate our members to participate more, create new ways for members to access information to be notified of any announcements, offer awards to recognize those working hard, make Key Club merch for members to remember the year, organize interclub/social events to retain the traditional key club spirit, and host more fundraisers to support Key Club’s preferred charities! My favorite type of music at the moment is mainly pop. A couple songs I like right now would be Shinkai by Eve, 过客 by 阿涵, and I.F.L.Y by Bazzi.

On May 15th, Gabrielino Key Club’s virtual banquet was held. After weeks of preparation, the second virtual banquet was successfully done. While the stress of finals and AP exams were coming up, Gab Key had to deliberate on how they were going to carry out the anticipated end of the year banquet. It was difficult, considering how members were going to be undergoing the end of the year assignments coming up. Nevertheless, the eager members were able to take part in an afternoon’s worth of fun games with prizes and see their fellow dedicated Key Club members be recognised for their commitments. The afternoon started off with everyone’s favorite activity, Love Box! The introduction was a sweet way to hit off the rest of the hour-long banquet. Members were then able to participate in a Kahoot, but it wasn’t an ordinary one. The hilarious game became even more entertaining when it was based on the new officer board’s baby pictures! Next, members were able to take part in a game of Scattergories followed by a Kahoot to test their Key Club knowledge. The prizes for these activities consisted of gift cards, but others were also able to receive awards of digital certificates that recognised their dedication during the short ceremony afterwards. The bittersweet banquet was closed off with the Love Box submissions, a perfect way to end another successful year for Gab Key.

For the month of June, Wilson Key Club members dedicated their time writing thoughtful messages thanking their teachers for their time and effort throughout the school year.

Appreciation Gram form, members have to screenshot each form for proof. Once that's done, members must self-report the time it took to complete the grams to receive service hours. For this service opportunity, the maximum number of hours one can receive is 3 hours. Another service opportunity our club had was Givero. Givero is a search engine that helps raise money for good causes. Similar to Ocean Hero, the great thing about this particular search engine is that you get to select the cause(s). Depending on the number of searches, members can earn up to 5 service hours. This is a great opportunity to help your community at home! Lastly, our club held a public meeting for non-key club members to learn about Key Club. We learned about DCMs, Fall Rally, DCON, the levels in Key Club, what we do, and the
