Letters to hospitalized Children

During the month of July, Mark Keppel Key Club members wanted to brighten up the days of hospitalized children all over America by sending heartwarming and uplifting cards. In the midst of a pandemic, we figured that we should try to bring a little bit of joy to those who are hospitalized and fighting a bigger fight than some of us currently. Each year more than 3 million children are being hospitalized in the United States. This service opportunity aims to give heartwarming and uplifting messages to the children that are being hospitalized while providing the best support anyone can give. With these cards, we are encouraging them to power through their illness and push to get better even though things may look rough. For every 2 letters that a member sent, they were able to earn an hour of service. We also hosted zoom calls for members to join and create their cards from July 5th all the way to July 20th.
