LTG'S WELCOME SPOOK SCARY SUPERVILLAINS!

Its that time of year! While leaves turn orange & red, Supervillains gear up in green & grey. ITS FALL RALLY SEASON! Get your spirit gear ready, face paint and your “free hugs” sign because Fall Rally North is on October 21st. Although it's time for spirit battles and meeting new people, let’s make sure we remember why we are going to Six Flags in the first place; TO BRING AWARENESS AND FUNDRAISE MONEY for the Pediatric Trauma Program. Also, thank you to everyone who came out to the September DCM! I hope you all had a blast pieing presidents, DLT and me. While we are still trying to get the scent of rotten milk out of our hair, We are happy to say we raised over $130 for the Pediatric Trauma Program! Division 12 South, you make me proud every day and I can’t wait to go through the rest of the year with you all by my side. Stay schemin' Villains!

“Cecilia’s Closet is a local nonprofit organization that serves to help low-income families in the city of Morgan Hill. I always enjoy volunteering at Cecilia’s Closet, since it gives me a chance to give back to my local community and meet different kinds of people in my community. At the event, volunteers were assigned to help sort and distribute clothes for children who starting the upcoming school year. We also helped sorted out food such as vegetables into bags to give away to families. I enjoy helping out events like these because it allows me to have a closer relationship with my community.” - Karina Sanchez

06

"On August 12, few volunteers and I went to help with the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest. At the Fest, my task was to guide directions to people to their destinations. For example, if they asked me where the concert is held, I give them directions on how to get there. Through this task, I got to talk to multiple people who are interested in Jazz and it was a great opportunity for me to better my communication skills! I really liked the event because you get to jam out to music and see all kinds of people come together to listen to jazz." - Laura Vu

07

“At Leland Key Club’s August Division Council Meeting, we did a service project called Cards for Kids where the attendees made cute, encouraging cards for the Pediatric Unit at the Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. Due to the fact that the patients at the hospital are continuously fighting for their recovery, we created these cards to motivate the patients to help lighten their mood that will make them keep going forward. In addition to these encouragements, we were able to write small notes, puns, and also wished them happy birthday in certain cases. Now, many kids at the hospitals have their day brighten by the cards.” - Thanh Ly

“At the Pride Festival, volunteers were assigned various task throughout the day, such as managing booths, work at volunteer registration, assist team leaders and committees, and also brought food and refreshments for stationed organization-led booths. At the end of the event, volunteers stayed to clean up. The event itself was very successful with a big turnout, and thanks to the volunteers, team leaders were able to focus on running the event. Volunteering at the Pride Festival left a huge impression on me because I was first-hand witness all of the diversity, pride, and acceptance that everyone had. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and loved how everyone deeply embraced their identity. I know for sure that the Silicon Valley Pride Festival will be coming back next year, bigger and better than before, and I’ll definitely be there to volunteer again. - Huyen Le

"Although there were some problems in the beginning, the Italian Family Festa was a really fun event! We were stationed to helping out with food. Some of us were working on pizza while others were helping make an Italian dish called cannoli! The workers, whom we were working with, also made the experience quite memorable! They were friendly and just and overall delight to work with!" - Hilary Kong

This was my first time being pied by whipped cream, and it surely was one for the books! The anticipation was nerve wrecking, but the overall result was worth it. I remember smelling like spoiled milk in the car ride home, and my phone still smells like it! My ears and hair were filled with whipped cream, but my heart was filled with joy knowing that the DLT, Presidents, and I were doing it for a good cause. Thank you to those who pied us! You made a difference!

- Vivian Pham Silver Creek President

Raised over $130 for PTP!

I had a blast at the September DCM!! When my turn came to get pied, many from Willow Glen bought more than one plate of whipped cream. After getting pied, it took awhile to clean myself up, but it was all worth it for PTP. I also pied Kristy and some other presidents, which was definitely my highlight of the event! Overall, this DCM has become my favorite of them all because I had such a blast with everyone.

For the first and last time, I had the opportunity to attend Region Training Conference. It was an amazing time, and I enjoyed it because we were able to come together with Key Clubbers from other Divisions, make skits, and cheered like our life depended on it. I was in the Peter Pan group, with our LTG EYYYYY. After the campfire, I went to Open Mic and saw amazing performances along with some cringey meme filled performances too. My favorite part was people going up and giving their longest “YEA BOI. And best of all, the food was pretty good. I absolutely recommend for those who are able to go to go because it is honestly one of the best events I have been to. - Austin Le, Ann Sobrato

THE NAME'S JUSTINE CHU!

From Evergreen Valley Key Club, I'm serving you as one of the spirit coordinators for this year! I highly encourage you all to attend Fall Rally North this year, especially when we plan on being bigger than ever! One of my favorite parts of the experience itself has got to be the spirit rally amongst the hundreds of different Key Clubbers all decked out in their colorful gear, screaming at the top of their lungs! The energy, passion, & overall spirit of the different people are what make the event so fun! I hope to see that same liveliness & enthusiasm in all of you this upcoming month!!

HEY THERE DIVISION 12 SOUTH! I'M HILLARY KONG, and I am a sophomore at Silver Creek High

School! My favorite part about FRN is the Spirit Rally!! Everyone is up and cheering their hearts out for their division as they try to win the Spirit Stick. There's always positive and joyful energy from everyone around you and it's overall just crazy fun!!! Be sure to attend the upcoming Spirit Social and FRN Prep so we can practice cheers and WIN THE SPIRIT STICK!!!!

HEY SUPERVILLAINS! I'M VICKY NGUYEN,

and I'm from the one and only Silver Creek High! The date for FRN is approaching and I can not hold my excitement! Through FRN, I was able to form many friendships and got to experience a once in a life time event! There was never a dull moment, from the loud bus rides, to the enthusiastic spirit battles against other divisions. The members bleed green and gray through their attires and spirit gears. I'm honored to be a part of the spirit coordinator team and I can't wait to hopefully help led us to victory! D12S!

HEY GUYS! MY NAME IS BRYAN CUEVAS &

I'm from Yerba Buena High School and I hope you're all going to Fall Rally North! If you're still on the fence about going to FRN let me tell you about my experience at FRN, and how it was one of the best times I've had. The whole experience was awesome. Walking in and seeing all the divisions in their spirit gear, getting ready to compete against each other to see who's the most spirited. I met a bunch of people from other divisions at the spirit battles and on the rollercoaster rides. It was easy to make friends, especially when people had Free Hugs signs. Also the rap battles are always super LIT! FRN is honestly just a super fun event, and you definitely don't want to miss it!
