WELCOME TO 2023 SUPERVILLAINS!!!

Congrats on making it through 2022, and I hope you had a restful holiday break after finals! Even with the new year, there are still so many exciting events and service opportunities to look forward to!

In January, we have our January DCM and Conclave happening on January 29, so be on the lookout for details on our division Instagram (@d12skeyclub). Conclave is the annual event where our NEXT LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR will be elected, so be sure to attend to show your support for the candidates and to see who our next LTG will be!

Division Judging Committee applications are releasing very soon, so if you are a member who is looking to be more involved in the division, be on the lookout for that post and an email from me! Along with that, this is a reminder that CONTEST SUBMISSIONS are due within the next month or two months (depending on which contest), so I highly encourage you to begin your contest portfolios now if you have not started yet. It’s great to have a head start and finish it early on rather than procrastinating until the day of the deadline (TRUST ME!!!).

There are so many great things to come this year, so get excited for them all! Lastly, on behalf of the DLT and Presidents, we wish you all a very happy New Year! Keep scheming in 2023 supervillains <3

NEW YEAR… SAME OLD SUPERB SUPERVILLAINS!

I hope you all are well-rested and rejuvenated for 2023! Remember to continue supporting your clubs via fundraisers & service events (your hours look sooo amazing on the MRP + exec portfolios). I can’t wait to see you all at our next division event <33 cheers to a new year!

Is it really an ice skating DCM without falling at least once? I fell three times! The December DCM was so fun! I love our annual tradition of hosting the December DCM with D12 East and D12 West. It was nice to see everyone again at this DCM. This is definitely one of my favorite events of the year. If you’re an underclassmen, be sure to check the event out next year!

Neighborhood Can Collecting

Yerba Buena Key Club Samantha Hyunh (11th) 11/18/22

I helped collect cans with Key Club for the canned food drive! I was a little hesitant at first but actually had so much fun with my friends. We went knocking on all the doors in the neighborhoods next to our school and asked the people for any cans! Most of them said “no”, but then my friend and I knocked on this one door, and they had piles upon piles of extra cans, we hit the jackpot! It was getting late anyways and we stayed there reorganizing the wagon before heading back to school. I’m glad I got to push myself out of my comfort zone with this event!

2022 Turkey Trot

This was my first year at turkey trot and I helped with the hydration station! Meeting up with my friends so early in the morning was really surreal but it was fun to just enjoy each other's company while helping others. Doing the labor was also a lot easier when so many of the runners were so nice. I think my favorite part was getting this turkey keychain from a guy dressed up in a turkey costume. During this event, there were multiple volunteering “booths”! I was a part of the “Hydration Stations” which was where I assisted in the set-up of the hydration tables and passed out water to runners.

My favorite part was helping pass out water to the runners. The time I spent helping out was pretty worthwhile and I had fun in the process!
