“Leland Key Club helped out the San Jose Vietnames e Running Club (SJVRC) at this event. We showed inclusiveness as we worked with other Key Clubbers from other high schools like Milp itas. Our members were stationed at different posts: race marshalls and handing out cups of water to runners. It was hard to get members to volunteer at event since I was notified about it on extremely shor t notice. The event also started quite early and many people did not want to get up that early. Nonetheless, it was really fun since the re were so many people (~14k runners!, cheerleaders, volunteers, etc ) and we got to meet a lot of cool peeps.”
