Message from your Lieutenant Governor: Hello Division 23, Yetis! In a little over a month, school will begin. Some will just be entering this new world; for others, it’ll be their last year. Even with the different situations we have, we all share one thing: Key Club. Let’s end our summer with a BANG and get ready for this school year. Whether it’s finishing summer homeworks, being healthy, doing something you have never done before, or doing all the service hours you can do.. Make sure you accomplish your summer goals! Those who work hard for what they want, gets rewarded in the end. It’s better to keep doing something than to do nothing at all. I hope everyone is having the best summer of your life! Challenge of the Month: How it works: Each month a challenge is proposed to YOU, the members, so I can get more insight on how you are. This challenge will serve as how well you are as a Key Clubber. Each challenge that you partake in, you will receive Yeti points! The more Yeti points you acquire, the better! The Challenge: Think of ways we can improve the division. What should we do to promote Key Club at our area? Message me YOUR ideas on what we should do to have a successful year in Key Club! Start brainstorming now! Happy thinking/writing! (:

A Memo from Mary Hello everyone, As you all know school will be starting soon! I know I know you are all thinking school, WHY?! But hey School is an amazing opportunity for service and it helps us all get together a lot easier and bond more! So lets take advantage of this new school year! International Convention 2012
From July 1st to July 8th, a whole week spent with Key Club International was truly eye opening. Coming from the bipolar weather of Reno, Nevada to the hot and humid weather of Orlando, Florida, I wasn’t expecting ICON to be so amazing. When I got asked by people if I was excited for ICON, I said no-- simply because I didn’t want to get my hopes up. That whole week with our wonderful Cali-Nev-Ha District (Bee hive) made me realize that we truly are one ohana. Meeting other Districts from all around the world such as New England, Jamaica, Bahamas, New York, New Jersey, Texas-Oklahoma, and many more impacted my very own perspective. With the variety of cultures, we all still have something in common: Key Club. Each Key Clubber that I met possessed a different sort of undying love for this wonderful organization. We all knew that we came from different places; however, this didn’t stop us from becoming a whole. From cheering with the swarm of bees, to dancing with all the Key Clubbers— our lives changed. Through traveling around the world within a day (EPCOT), sitting through long and informative workshops, voting for our next international board, sitting through House of Delegates for hours long, dancing the night away, or cheering our hearts out throughout ICON, everyone was able to meet amazing people around the world and create life-long friendships. One thing I wasn’t expecting to get out of ICON is falling deeply in love. After ICON, like many people.. I had the PICONS: Post ICON Syndrome. It was really bad.. I didn’t know what to do as the days passed by. I was, and still am, in a terrible need of a time machine. I fell deeply in love… with Key Club.

District Convention
This year at our District Convention we elected our new District Board and Installed our Division Lieutenant Governor, McXine Salva. We were very proud to announce that our very own Alyssa Yocom was elected District Governor! The rest of our District Board includes Rasmai Elasmar-Technology Editor, Cannon Joyce— Treasurer, Lloyd Chen– Secretary The Convention was an exciting 3-day adventure with various helpful, and exciting workshops, a dance, and some fun interesting general sessions.
