Aloha Moons! Summer is officially coming to an end this month. I hope you got a lot of rest and had a lot of fun! As the school year is starting soon, please don’t forget to take care of yourself, your health should always come FIRST! I’m so excited for all of our clubs’ first Key Club meeting! The beginning of the school year is an excellent time to attract new members! Encourage your friends to join, or even a stranger! Such amazing bonds can be created when serving the community as a team! This is my last year of high school and it truly does go by really fast! So please make the most out of every moment and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! You never know what can happen! Let’s make this school year the best one yet! Shining Brightly Into Service, Ann Margaret De Guzman

Hi! I am this year’s executive assitant. Some fun facts about myself are that I like to dance, I listen to kpop, and I play 5 instruments. I also own two tortoises and a turtle. I plan on not only boosting member moral and participation, but also making sure our division and city as a whole gets more recognized! This plan includes activities that range from more fundraisers and volunteer to prices and incentives among the clubs. I am so excited to work with everyone and I hope to get to know everyone! Samantha Rojo-Vicente

Hey Moons! I’m so excited to see you all again in our upcoming DCM. Summer’s unfortunately coming to an end… but one thing to look forward to is RTC. I know I’m pumped to finally attend RTC in person! I hope you all have a fantastic rest of your summer, and I’ll see you next month! Isabel Mendoza

Hey there D28W! My name is Raylynn Ramirez and I’m super excited to serve and introduce myself as this term’s Division Spirit Coordinator! I attend NWCTA as a senior in the biomedical program and hope to eventually become a medical examiner. I have been a member of Key Club since my freshman year and have lots of board experience. I’m super excited to help increase member retention with some fun spirit activities and truly keep our division hyped to serve! I also hope to include more general members in division activities and truly push members to make connections outside of just their school chapters. When not in Key Club, I serve as a board member to clubs like HOSA and NSHS. I also love Halloween, horror movies, and work as a Starbucks barista. Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to serve this term and I can’t wait to get this year started Raylynn Ramirez

My family and I went to Cancun right when school got out and it was a life changing experience with seeing more of the culture of Mexico, seeing a really blue ocean, and being able to interact with marine life like dolphins. I’m excited for the next year of Key Club because I’m happy that I’ll be a part of the board and have a say on big events that are part of Key Club, mainly Fall Rally and I’m excited to finally experience a real life Fall Rally, in person, with the division. I’ve only heard stories of it and now I’m finally able to be a part of it. -Mia Sibal

This summer I have been running track, competing in meets in different cities, and have even attended the June DCM. As spirit coordinator, I am so excited to start a new Key Club term, and am so excited to start planning for RTC. -Savana Chalmers

During this summer I’ve been in and out of town while celebrating birthdays and such. Throughout this time, I’ve taken advantage of how much time I’ve had by reading novels to relax. College admissions and research have also taken some of my time. I am so excited to be an officer next year and really connect with new members! I can’t wait to see what projects we all come up with to truly appreciate our community! -Mikayla Maluyo

Summer is fantastic opportunity to take a look at colleges and prepare for applications! It’s never too late to start your college journey; even making a school list now can help a lot in the long run. As we become more technologically advanced, more colleges are offering virtual tours! Try to narrow down what you are looking for in a college such as size, environment, and programs, to give yourself a head start! -Isabel Mendoza
