Aloha Moons!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I hope you all did well on your exams, and if you did not, remember that bad grades do not define you! I hope you are enjoying your break from school! I don’t know about you but I am really excited for the new year! With this new year, let’s bring new growth and fun into our clubs and our division!
With club elections coming up in January, I encourage you ALL to try to run for a leadership position! It’s a great opportunity to serve our amazing organization on a greater level and build your leadership skills. I know that I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for the positions I held through Key Club.
I’m so excited for all the new events and leaders that next year holds! Happy holidays Moons and Happy New Years!
Shining Brightly Into Service, Ann Margaret De Guzman
Congratulations to the following people who earned recognition this month:
Member of the Month: Milla Santos (West CTA)
Officer of the Month: Mikayla Maluyo (Shadow Ridge)
Club of the Month: Palo Verde
Advisor of the Month: Michelle DeMaio (Arbor View)
December DCM was so fun! I was so excited to see people from other schools after RTC! It was also my first in person DCM, and I am motivated to attend more from here on out!!
-Jay Yuson, West CTAI absolutely loved December DCM! My only complaint is that it ended! It was so great seeing people who I previously met at RTC! Beside that, the R5 LTGs had some amazing activities planned. From cookie decorating to group pictures in which Coco was excluded to dog toy making, the excitement was never-ending! Also, being lauded member of the month was a sort of euphoria i never thought i’d experience! December DCM was a success, and I encourage more people to attend these division/regional events in the future!
-Milla Santos, West CTAWe basically all got a couple different colored square sheets of paper and we learned how to fold them into corner bookmarks. It was pretty easy. I really liked how we were able to design them however we wanted. We had lots of different options and It was super fun. I would totally do this again! We ended up giving them to a local library. I love how we are able to do service in small ways every week.
-Kiersten Darrington, Shadow RidgeI would describe the service project as a quick, easy, and fun way to give back to people in your community with crafts. I enjoyed everything about it because I love to do crafts and it was fun. I'm glad I was able to gift a bookmark to someone in need. I would definitely do the bookmark service project again!

Magical Forest has plenty of lights, rides and food trucks. It’s a place that you could go to with a group of friends or family. What I enjoyed the most was being able to help out and hangout with my friends. I definitely made lots of memories with them.
