LTG’S MESSAGE

HEY RED PANDAS,

Welcome to our very first newsletter of the term! I'm sure we are all counting down the days until summer but don’t worry, D46N will have plenty of events and service projects to keep you busy and entertained. Speaking of the new term, I hope all clubs are making sure to train their new officers and prepare them for the new term. Summer is the perfect time to start planning and preparing so I encourage all clubs to take advantage of the time to lay out some plans and prepare their members for the new year. That being said, there will be many training events over the next few months to prepare our officers and members for an incredible term. But of course, it won't all just be training and meetings. We are partnering with Teaspoon on May 28th to raise funds for the Pediatric Trauma Program! Buy a sweet treat with the provided flyer and a percentage of the money will go straight to the program.

We will be holding our May DCM at Vanguard Charter and Preparatory Academy on May 29th from 5-7 pm! RSVP forms will be sent out shortly. If you have questions or concerns about anything then please feel free to let me know. Do not hesitate to reach out!

Climbing the bamboo stick of service,

D46N Lieutenant Governor

what happens within each level of key club?

This is the

highest level. It is ran by an elected Board of Trustees. They represent each district and help settle issues such as the dues amount or scholarship awards.

The district overlooks all divisions and clubs. They collect and keep track of all service hours and funds from all of the clubs. They handle recognition and remain in contact with the international levels of Key Club. This includes California, Nevada and Hawai’i.

The Cali-Nev-Ha district divided into 79 different divisions. Each division ranges from 5-16 clubs. This level holds DCMs, Training conferences and organizes Fall Rally North preparations such as spirit chants, merchandise and division shirts.

Where everything happens from performing service to collecting dues. They’re the backbone of our district. General Meetings, Club Board meetings, service projects and school/club event

SOPHIE’S BANQUET

To end off a term and say hello to a new beginning, Sophie’s Banquet was surely a night to remember. On April 23, D46N Key Clubbers gathered at Enochs High School from afternoon till sunfall within the confines of the school’s multipurpose room, a brightly decorated and lively area, so cheery and joyous, for all to enjoy and celebrate the end of an era. As a part of Enochs’ Key Club, setting up the event was a blast in itself, having time to converse and aid others in ensuring the Mama Mia theme lived up to its hype. By 5pm, the event sprung into motion, with LTG Sophie giving the opening remarks and directing the DLT as they maneuvered through their icebreaker activities.

As the day progressed, awards were given out to those who gained remarkable service hours, put a lot of hard work and effort into their officer positions, and recognition towards those who have made a major impact on our Key Club division. With so many great members, advisors, and schools, the amount of awards seen throughout the night was enough to put a smile on all of our faces. Let’s not forget the incredible food gracefully given out at the event—good grub, and good times. Sadly, every party must come to an end.

As Sophie tearfully gave her final remarks and speech as the division 23-24 LTG, and Aarushi gave her opening remarks towards the prospects of her new 24-25 term as LTG, there were so many wondrous memories made. I sure know I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our division!

MODESTO ´ˎ˗

At six a.m, I, along with a handful of other red pandas, met in downtown Modesto to celebrate our love for the city. We started by grabbing a quick breakfast, served by a few volunteers, including members who arrived earlier. We were served a spread of classic breakfast dishes, such as pancakes and eggs. After, we took a quick walk around the booths. After collecting many items, we returned to our shift. However, when we arrived in the kitchen, many of the positions were already covered. Thus, we lended a helping hand in other areas. Near the end, I was in charge of serving breakfast sausages. When the pancake event ended, there were many leftovers. A few of us filled up takeout boxes and handed them out to the hard workers running the booths. This was my first time experiencing it was my pleasure to serve the people who make this city what it is. By seeing the joyous residents of Modesto, I was able to connect with my community - Sam Coronado ╎Enochs D46N

Love Modesto was definitely one of the events I do not regret attending, because without it I wouldn’t have been able to meet some of the friends I made that day, or enjoy time cracking eggs with the advisors. That day I had another event to attend right after so I ended up leaving my house at four in the morning and arriving at the venue at five, yet even in the midst of waking up so early I found that it was worth every step. Out of the hundreds of steps I did as a walking pancake to advertise throughout the streets of Love Modesto it was nothing more than an experience to live life for some time instead of studying! - Phoebe Ann Rosales ╎Enochs D46N
