To attend FRN, keep attending spirit practices so we can win the spirit stick and show off our pride to other key clubbers.

Additionally, there are many service opportunities to take part in like Service Week!

This month’s newsletter is a mix of classical music and dark academic. This is because September is Classical Music Month. Fun fact: I’ve been playing the flute for 7 years! I love music so much. Look out for the spirit committe introductions! Enjoy this issue!

Special thanks to the club newsletter editors and publicity committee for their drawings and graphics on this newsletter!

STJMOD PARISH FESTIVAL

SSANTIAGO MACIAS PADILLA | GREGORI

The event was about the 54th STJMOD Parish Festival, but it was the last day of the festival. It is a community event that aims to bring the Modesto community together and provide a safe place for families to have fun. It included games, food, and live entertainment. It went really well; again, it was my second day volunteering for the festival, but today I worked at a different booth, which was the raffle area, and I helped carry the prizes and transport them along with other equipment. I liked how there were a lot of people excited to win one of the many prizes, and the ambiance was incredible. My favorite moment was being thanked by a couple of fellow volunteers for carrying many of the bigger prizes. It made me feel really satisfied and recognized for what I did that day.

ENOCHS GAME NIGHT

ASTER URBANO | ENOCHS

On Friday, September 6, excited members flocked to Ms. Pantoja’s room after school as we commenced our highly anticipated game night! Upon arrival and check in, a quick intro was given before food was distributed. Everything from chips, drinks, cookies, to some yummy pasta provided by Abby and garlic noodles provided by Henry. As the atmosphere was filled with laughter and friends, the first event of the night began as paper was distributed and a fun drawing game began! My group of four took turns passing around paper and adding onto the drawings, ending up with four masterpieces: a country girl, a pretty eye, a silly duck pond, and, best of all, Naturo Gojo. Once our joy was had, the competition began as one by one each group sent up their prized artwork. The winner was undoubtedly “Beauty Standards”, masterpiece in itself, a descriptive piece about beauty standards (or the Roblox chad face). But when the REAL competition began was the moment jeopardy was pulled into the mix. Split into two teams, we jumped from one question to the next, but sadly failed to make it on top (even though we, as team “Sophia the First”, were destined for greatness). Overall, the day was filled with great times, grea games, and especially great food. I can’t wait to see what exciting events we’ll plan in the future, being the best officer board to have graced the key club surface

CLUB RUSH

ASTER URBANO | ENOCHS

Club rush every single year is one of the busiest events for Enoch’s Key Club. Getting out of the fourth period early, wasting no time to get over, we were all ready to set up the decorations, both new and old. The heat was a challenge, but the work of our labor was finally worth it the moment we finished. Our booth, decorated in its cute red and gold with red pandas to show, was perfect. Filled to the brim with students of all grades, we worked fast through the heat, Juna and I were in charge of photos, working hard with our lovely photo frame to get others enthusiastic about key club. Special thanks to our vice principles and principle for helping us out with the simple motion of taking photos with us, helping us gain a small bit of attraction more and a whole lot more encouragement. Special thanks to Abby for letting me use her phone for photos when mine overheated. Special thanks to Sophia for running back and forth between different booths, aiding us by passing out flyers. Special thanks to Jason for being tall and making sure our posters never flew away by bathing it in tape. Special thanks to Helen for helping us out by promoting us and helping decorate when we needed it. Special thanks to Valentine for lending us her cute Red Panda plush and awards to show off the joy of key club. And thanks to everyone who came by and signed up. We couldn’t be the booking key club we are today without you.

AUGUST DCM AUGUST DCM

Aster Urbano | Enochs

In the August DCM, there was an icebreaker activity where we answered questions based on like a small hot potato type activity where the potato was a volleyball filled with 6 unique questions to answer to your newly found friends, but the fun part was the amazing service project afterwards where we made bracelets with some cool marbles to make a ton of unique and colorful bracelets that would have people in awe, here we have Stanton Vo, Rithy Ney, and Moises Torres each showing the bracelets they made which are beautiful. The bracelets took a long time but came out perfect and they were really proud of the work.

friendship bracelets!

COMMUNITY BRUNCH

CONOR TRAN | GREGORI

Community Brunch is where people get together and have brunch made by local chefs, partnering with local charities while having a chance to win prizes from raffles. I volunteered under the charity Society for Disabilities. It went really well- the first day I helped set decorations like trees and chairs. The second day, I helped serve brunch (crepes and fruit toppings) to people and clean up after the event. I liked meeting people from other schools in the community, overall my favorite moment was hanging out with my friends during event.
