SOMALI INSTRUCTOR REPRESENTS AFRICA AT CORE GATHERING IN GENEVA

omalia’s CAF referee instructor, Ali Mohamed Ahmed, was the sole African instructor selected to represent the Confederation of African Football [CAF] at the Center Of Refereeing Excellence [CORE] program at the UEFA headquarters in Geneva. Accompanied by three young promising African referees, the CAF instructor was the sole African refereeing instructor amongst 8 top level technical and fitness instructors, as he was appointed by CAF to represent Africa in the international CORE gathering.
of two phases held at the UEFA headquarters between May-October 2015. The first phase was organized between 4-15 May, while the second phase took place 22-29 October 2015. This was the first time in history that an expert from Somalia represented Africa in such a high profile gathering. It was an honor for Somali Football Federation and the entire people of Somalia that an instructor from the football-growing nation of Somalia had embraced such a huge responsibility on behalf of the African football family.
