RECREATION FIND FUN OUTDOORS THIS SUMMER The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, and the kids are clamoring to go outside and do something “fun.” Fortunately, there’s plenty of fun to be found in the many parks and outdoor facilities within Spanish Fork and Salem. From trails and ball parks to swimming and picnicking, there are many opportunities to choose from in our communities. Use this list of recreational locations and some of the amenities they offer to help make your decision on where to go to have a great time.
SPECIALTY PARKS & TRAILS
SKATE PARK
491 SOUTH 600 EAST, SPANISH FORK Concrete ramps and jumps and other obstacles are here for skateboarders and scooter riders to enjoy. Skaters use this facility at their own risk and the use is safety equipment is highly recommended.
SALEM WETLAND PARK
On the northwest boundary of Salem, you will find a 38-acre pond and wetland that encircle a 5-acre family use park. The park includes restrooms, a pavilion, a spacious playground and two miles of walking trails. The park also has two large open grass areas for family play and incredible wildlife observation.
SPANISH FORK GUN CLUB

The Spanish Fork Gun Club is located near the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon overlooking beautiful Utah Valley. Because of its unique setting and the high visibility of its targets, people come from all over the United States to shoot great scores. Membership is $20.00 a year, and membership gives you discounts on practice rounds and reloading supplies.
ADVENTURE HEIGHTS ALL-ABILITIES PARK
1321 E. CANYON ROAD, SPANISH FORK This park is designed to be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their abilities. It includes the Incredible Tree, which stands 24 feet tall with a 16-foot platform and slide. Those in wheelchairs can enjoy the first level of the treehouse and even peer inside the tree trunk from an elevated platform. There is also a zip line feature, a mountain with waterfalls with a ramp for wheelchairs, a splash pad, a wheelchair-only swing and a sensory garden with interactive toys and musical instruments.
DOG PARK
658 E. 400 SOUTH, SPANISH FORK Looking to get your pet outside and socializing? The Spanish Fork Dog Park offers a large, grassy and fenced area where your dog can enjoy the day and meet new friends. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk. 74

SPANISH FORK RIVER TRAIL
Spanish Fork City has an extensive system of trails, including one that runs from east to west along the Spanish Fork River. This paved trail is several miles long and provides a beautiful and often shaded journey with the river, fully grown trees and farmland nearby.
