From the CEO

From the CHAIRMAN

An eventful year has passed and a new one has come.

Happy New Year, and warm greetings as we begin 2019!

Happy new year to you all. I hope you celebrate the start of 2019 in good spirits with family and friends.

2018 is now in the books. Looking back, it was a year of change for Ettalong Diggers.

With the start of the New Year, it’s good to look ahead and think about what this year may bring us. 2018 was quite a year for us at Ettalong Diggers. We’ve been through many developments, but we’ve also achieved a huge amount.

It was a busy year, which included renovations in various areas of the club. We now boast a new bar and dining facilities and improved function facilities. The amount of high profile entertainers and touring shows is increasing as we effortlessly become the destination for all things entertainment on the Central Coast.

Mr Bill Jackson

While most of our major renovations are complete, we plan to continue the improvements over this year. There are some more internal changes in the wings and also changes with our technology, so we can stay relevant with our members and guests. As we continue to grow, it is critical that we are able to provide information that is needed by all of our members to operate as efficiently as possible and to make the best possible decisions for Ettalong Diggers. This also provides a channel for the feedback that we need from our members and guests. I can’t emphasize enough my belief in terms of the most successful companies or individuals in the world should be the best in giving back. While we’re not a perfect organisation and we do regularly remind each other of that, we are a team working effectively within our community. Being a responsible CEO means weighing the impact of every decision made regarding the club and how it effects the community. And it means always thinking about what further contribution we can make: Building a more robust community. Protecting the environment. Helping groups and individuals with their goals or those in need. And driving social and economic well-being. Because this is the only way to achieve sustainable growth. A large part of the success of Ettalong Diggers is built on conversations. We listen closely to our members and community who use our services. We set long term goals and we almost always achieve those. We have no fear about change or taking on new challenges in the industry but we are also aware of how competitive our business is. We are setting an aspirational goal that many will say is impossible to achieve but I think we can; to become the best club on the Central Coast. It may sound like a very big challenge indeed. But, with imagination, vision and determination, it can and will happen.

Mr JOHN WOOD

We have strengthened the team with several new hires and have continued to extend our hospitality and entertainment abilities. By continuing to fortify the core of our business, we have positioned ourselves to look to 2019 with confidence and optimism. With a new year comes new challenges and goals. The theme for 2019 is “our best year yet”. This is a year in which we want to set records; record sales, record growth, and record customer service. We have surveyed our customers over the last few years about how Ettalong Diggers can improve. Many of these suggestions have already been implemented, and the remaining are either in progress or on our radar. These improvements will make Ettalong Diggers an even better club and will enable us to achieve the goals to which we aspire. We will succeed with the support, dedication and hard work of all our loyal team. Ettalong Diggers has the best people in our industry. Our customers consistently tell us that. Through teamwork, relentless effort and solid execution, we can exceed our goals and ensure we all have our best year yet. I would personally like to thank all our valued members for their continuous support and dedication - we couldn’t have been where we are now without such a tremendous level of endorsement from all of you. I also would like to thank the team at Ettalong Diggers for all the hard work and incredible levels of enthusiasm ensuring that our members and guests get the best from us.

DearMembersandPatrons,

Ettalong Diggers is pleased to have assisted in the formation of the Peninsula Waterways Committee Inc, a Committee of local residents who are concerned (for various reasons) about the Passenger Ferry Service and its continued operation from Palm Beach to Wagstaffe and Ettalong Beach. This Committee consists of the following persons:

"The newly formed Peninsula Waterways Committee were pleased to see the resumption of ferry services from Wagstaffe and Ettalong this morning, Monday 19 November" said Mike Allsop, Chairman of the committee. A number of local residents from Wagstaffe were on hand to greet the ferry and its passengers for the various morning services, as were others at Ettalong. "It will take a little while for the normal passenger profile to re-establish, but these early runs certainly had their share of commuters, tradies and kids as well as the occasional day-tripper, which was great to see." "Although the ferry services has resumed, our committee sees this as just the 'first step'. We are drawing together the collective efforts of several interest groups around

We are sure that NRMA, as new owners of the ferry service will have exactly the same view". Kind regards Mike Allsop Chair

IN CONVERSATION AND IN THE RAW TOUR 2019 This autobiographical presentation addresses everything from his youth, his family, his mistakes and his triumphs, as the beloved “Nollsie” tells it how it is like never before. As a boy from the bush who is upfront and never shies away from the truth… being this honest and stripped in front of an audience is something he hasn’t done so publicly before. Expect lots of laughs, maybe even some tears and without doubt some great music throughout NOLLSIE IN THE RAW.

He holds records in Australia for his music, has a legion of adoring fans and continues to be one of the most giving charitable artists in the country but now you can hear the real story behind the man. At the end of each show, audience members will be able to ask Shannon questions as well, no restrictions and his truth to be told as the reply. Like never before this is NOLLSIE IN THE RAW.
