In this article I present new details about two daguerreotypists, who played important role in the history of photography in Lithuania. One of them, Francois Marcillac (1817-1876) made the first daguerreotype in Lithuania in 1839, while another, Charles Neupert (1803-1857) worked in Lithuania in 1851-1855, and even four daguerreotypes made in Lithuania by him are preserved.
