King Woadeci
There are many aspiring artists out there with big dreams and visions of gold. But only a handful of them actually have the talent that it takes to help those dreams become a reality. This artist actually has the skills to go along with his dreams of fame and fortune. Ladies and gentleman, allow us to introduce you to King Woadeci.
Born Lateek Wells in Queens, NY, King Woadeci, like many other artists, fell in love with music at a very young age. He found that music soothed the soul, as most music lovers would agree. Which is why to King Woadeci, more important than the fame and the money of success, is a deep connection with his fans. His goal is to connect with them on such a level that they feel his emotions, whether it be pain or joy, through his music. Because King Woadeci's lyrics are so emotionally charged, it's evident that he will have no problem connecting with his fans on any level. The "New Thing" rapper stands on the precipice of stardom and with the right amount of hard work and dedication to his craft, the possibilities for this Q-Borough MC are endless. Beyond the cuts in his eyebrows and his tatted up skin, lies an artist with focus who's ready to share his musical prowess with music lovers everywhere. Some of his other goals include performing in as many showcases as possible to share his talent with others, as well as learning as much as he can from other artists. King Woadeci recently completed his first mixtape, and is looking forward to recording and releasing more of his work. In the words of King Woadeci, "I know I have what it takes to succeed in this business as long as I continue to have success on my mind... struggle in my life... music in my soul... love in my heart...potential in my talent... and creativity in my brain, I am destined to succeed!!" Well we just so happen to agree and look forward to King Woadeci's journey.

TBOE Blanco

Meet TBOE Blanco, hip-hop artist and producer from the Bronx, NY whose goal is to change the dynamic of New York City. A strong believer in never forgetting where he came from, he has incorporated this belief into his name TBOE, (The Beginning Over Everything). He's also known by his producer persona, TrunX, a name that started out as a texting typo and ended up sticking with him. Creating music since the age of 8, TBOE has a connection with music that runs deeply. Being from the same area as two sources of his inspiration, Big Pun and Swizz Beats, has had a positive impact on him musically. In middle school he was heavily influenced by rappers like Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Big L, Nas and Jay-Z. He would be anxious to finish his work quickly so that he could write music. TBOE's goal was to find a way to get his message across to people and still get the audience involved. At the age of twelve was when he started recording his music using GarageBand on his uncle's iMac, the majority of which were freestyles over instrumentals of popular songs. He discovered that he loved making music and the way it made him feel when he connected to a song and it's message. From that point TBOE decided that he couldn't see himself doing anything else, and has been working toward fulfilling his dream ever since. The crime and drug infested area that he grew up in served as motivation for TBOE to succeed and excel, so that he could give back to the community that his family tried to shelter him from.
So far TBOE Blanco has performed in various talent shows and has performed at the Flux Factory with Urban Culture, as well as at The NYC Grind at their Art Bash. He's even performed in Ireland at an ASFL Leadership Conference. TBOE has released two projects so far, and has two projects in the works to be released this spring and summer. The first will be a mixtape hosted by DJ CLSmooth, the second a debut album also hosted by DJ CLSmooth and completely produced by TBOE himself, or as he's known by his producer persona, TrunX. In addition to writing, performing, and recording, TBOE Blanco will also be designing and releasing merchandise this summer with his company, TBMG (The Beginnings Music Group). TBOE Blanco is a man on a mission, one who refuses to give up on his many dreams and goals, goals that are much bigger than just him alone. He wants to better his community and help get kids off the street and keep them in school. He wants to establish a better and healthier environment for the next generation than the one he grew up in. He wants to focus on global issues such as homelessness and hunger. TBOE reflects a selflessness that's a rare find in today's aspiring rappers. With his refreshing mixture of old school, lyric-heavy raps and new school beats, TBOE Blanco is definitely one artist to be on the lookout for.

S STT R The Time Is Now
From the Montgomery County area of Rockville, Maryland comes an amazing hip-hop artist known on the music scene as Trip Star. His musical journey is one that began very early in his life. Having a musician as a father inspired him from the very beginning, and at the age of nine he began going to his father's band rehearsals, where he would write lyrics and rap on the mic. This early initiative that he showed led him to eventually becoming a rapper in his father's band, 1LUV. Young Trip Star would perform with the band at outdoor events in and around Washington, DC. While Trip perfected his craft, he quickly developed a fan base of children and grownups alike through his performances with his father's band. But it wasn't until the ninth grade that Trip Star realized he had found his niche in rap music. During freestyle battles, he often found himself being the life of the cypher. Today, Trip Star has evolved into a song writer, one who has a way of telling stories with his songs that capture the listener's attention. He writes about his life experiences and things he knows that other people can relate to.
Trip Star has a sound and style that's very versatile, and he considers his sound to be the pulse of a movement. Over the years he has been inspired by a variety of different genres and artists. As a child he was inspired by adolescent rappers such as Bow Wow and Lil Romeo. More recently Trip has found inspiration in artists such as 50 cent, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Kanye West, and Bad Boy Records from the 90s. But throughout his lifetime one musician has inspired him more than any other, and that's his father, Go-Go Bouncey. He was the one that kept music in Trip Star's face all the time from the very beginning. Trip Star's music has been getting radio air play on TMOTTGOGO, WINDCRADIO, and GoGoRadioLive. He will be releasing his new single "Last Call" this Spring 2016, which will be featuring Lil Capp from Waka Flocka's hit song "O Let's Do It" and the well known DMV artist, 1200 Money. Trip Star is also working on his debut album "The Switch Up", which is sure to be a hit. One of Trip Star 's future goals is to live on a tour bus for a year doing shows and writing and recording music. With the talent and work ethic that Trip Star possesses, we're excited to see how far he goes on his journey to the top.

B.I.G. When you think of Brooklyn, NY it becomes evident that it's synonymous with some of hip-hip's most elite. There are many names that come to mind when you're talking about the hard-core musical assassins that Brooklyn has conceived. But one of the names remain Notorious, not just in Brooklyn but around the world. Christopher George Latore Wallace, born May 21, 1972, is most known by his artist names, The Notorious B.I.G, Frank White, Biggie or just BIG. BIG was a New York rapper who's sky was the limit. A classic tale of a young man with enough ambition, determination and talent to make what would seem like an almost impossible dream come to fruition in a very BIG way. Raised in what's arguably the most popular borough in NYC, BIG seemed to have all the odds stacked against him. With nothing to lose and a hustler's mentality, topped with a gift to connect with people lyrically, it wasn't long before his name began ringing bells in the neighborhood. Like most young men growing up in the hood, BIG took to drug dealing to make his ends meet. When BIG wasn't slinging crack, he was singing rap, but he may not have known then exactly what kind of impact he
NOTORIOUS would have on the hip-hop culture. With his obvious talent for rapping, it wasn't long before he met Sean "Puffy" Combs and began making records that are now hailed as classics. In 1994, BIG and Puffy released Biggie's first album titled "Ready to Die." This album went certified platinum in no time, and the Notorious B.I.G. was named MC of the Year at the 1995 Billboard Music Awards.
Along with his crew known as The Junior M.A.F.I.A, BIG was well on his journey to becoming the rap king of NY. Of course along the way BIG made some really good friends in music, but with his success he also made a few enemies. The Thug Life rapper, Tupac Shakur, and BIG had one of the biggest feuds hip-hop has ever seen. No one could imagine that this beef would change the course of their lives forever. The country would seem to be divided into two sides, the east side versus west side, which became Death Row Records versus Bad Boy Records, Marion 'Suge' Knight versus Puff Daddy, and Tupac versus Biggie. They finally met again late in 1995, and reportedly Tupac secretly said to Biggie, "I'm just tryin' to sell some records." Unfortunately, it got very real when on
September 7, 1996, Tupac was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting off the Vegas strip. He had just been involved in a fight after leaving a Mike Tyson boxing match at the MGM Grand Hotel. He passed away six days later on September 13 at the age of 25 as a result of the gun shot wounds. The murder of Tupac is still unsolved. With the death of Tupac, Biggie was concerned for his life, but he wanted to see an end to the rivalry between the two coasts. Biggie traveled to the west coast for several events, to support the release of his album, "Life After Death," but also to make a statement that the rivalry was over. On March 7, 1997, the "Hypnotized" rapper attended the Soul Train Music Awards and went to the after party hosted by Vibe magazine and Qwest Records on March 8. On March 9, Biggie was sitting in an SUV on the street when he also was shot multiple times by an unknown shooter. BIG passed away almost instantly. The hip-hop community as a whole had witnessed a tragedy in music like never before.
NYC
BROOKLYN
Before BIG was laid to rest, he paid one last visit to his neighborhood in Brooklyn and the streets were over-flooded with people there to pay their respects. The impact BIG has had on so many people has left a stain on Brooklyn and has added to the age old pride that people from Brooklyn have felt since day one. So if you're ever at a party and you hear the DJ scream "where Brooklyn at", you will understand exactly why those from Brooklyn respond the way they do. Although BIG may be gone in the physical form, he will live immortality through his family, friends, fans and his music. Not only will the Notorious B.I.G's name and likeness live on forever in our hearts, but trustees of his estate, mother Voletta Wallace and widow Faith Evans, have joined forces with a licensing agency "Brand Sense Partners" to brand his image, making certain that B.I.G's legacy will not miss a beat. Now you can find Biggie's face not just artfully depicted in spray paint on walls in Brooklyn, but on everything from socks to Tshirts in places like Sears, JC Penny and Forever 21. It's a beautiful thing to see such homage for the borough president, and no matter how many times this story has been told, it never gets old.

Front And Center C
oming straight out of Harlem, New York is a hip-hop artist whose name is as unique as the music he creates. Meet Meech Guevara, a talented rapper whose promising music career is only beginning. With his brand of lyrical wordplay and his authentic Harlem swag, there's no telling how far his musical journey will take him. Since the age of 13, Meech Guevara has been a writer of music. It started out as something he did primarily for the fun of it, writing music, freestyling, and battling with friends and teammates. Meech grew up in the DipSet era, and needless to say the popular rap group had a profound effect on his sound and charisma. Listening to his older sister's Big L tapes also helped him embody the late great's lyrical prowess. Meech has always been a lover of words and has always enjoyed writing composition. Once he mastered the art of applying those skills to writing music, there was no turning back for him. He began recording these works of art after graduating from college at the age of 22. He met Dre Davince, the founder of SplitzVille Records through a fellow artist and mutual friend, Y. Rome. There was an instantaneous connection, resulting in the first recorded song, a fan favorite, "Money Militia", produced by Kal L. Beats. In addition to Big L and DipSet, Meech Guevara has been influenced by a host of other big names as well, including Big Pun, Hov, Kanye West, Lauren Hill, Eminem, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, and many more. Having such a widespread variety of inspiration is a major contributing factor to Meech's well-rounded sound, which he describes as
a combination of gritty east coast bars mixed with a southern bounce and soulful feel. So far in Meech Guevara's young music career, he has performed in a number of different venues around and outside of the city. Nuyorican Poets Cafe, SOB'S, and Santos Party House are among the spots in NYC that Meech has graced with his lyrical presence. He has performed at the A3C Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, and he has performed for HipHopSeazon and iSpitNYC as well. Meech's music has been played on FLOEmpireradio.com and he's also worked with known engineer, Evan La Ray. The opportunity to invest in himself and his talents is ultimately what made Meech commit to his music 100 percent. He believes that his music conveys a strong message, and when that message is received by his listeners the result is positive feedback and that's confirmation for Meech that it's all worth it. Meech Guevara will be rocking the stage at this year's SxSW festival in Austin, Texas. Also his anticipated debut mixtape is scheduled to be released this spring, followed by the SplitzVille compilation coming later this year. Part of his strategy is to learn more and eventually master the "business" aspect of the music industry. Ultimately his goal is simply to make dope music for the world to connect with and enjoy. "A record deal with a major company would be ideal, but as for now my focus is solely on making quality music..... 10 years from now, I would like to be running my own record label, sitting in an office with walls decorated of all my musical accomplishments." With his dope lyrics and Harlem savvy to match, we would say that Meech Guevara is well on his way to making his vision a reality. The "Routine" rapper is now front and center with both of his eyes on the prize and everything to gain.

An Unforgettable Talent Every once in a while, this beautiful galaxy that we live in loses a shining star...
Well the same thing happens in the music industry. Sometimes we lose an
artist with such a tremendous talent, one whose gift would have been a huge contribution to the rap game. For the first time ever, we have the honor of featuring one of those shining stars whose light the whole world never got to see but one whose light still shines through the efforts of his loved ones. We are honored to introduce you to Headro Baby.
B
orn and raised in Spring Hope, North Carolina, a small town east of Raleigh, Headro was the oldest of four siblings raised by a single mother, Christy Wilkins, as well as his maternal grandparents. He began writing music at the tender age of twelve, and by the time he was thirteen he was recording songs in the studio on the weekends with his cousin Dontea. Soon he began to expand his horizons and started recording with various other friends-Sly-1, Ol Gold, Gully, Smiley, Anarchy, Mr. Howard and Tunka Tazz, just to name a few. Headro's music is not just of your average, run-of-the-mill, aspiring artist caliber. His raw, uncut music possesses pure talent and his hard-edged lyrics reflect real-life struggles and situations. Headro was introduced to the streets at an early age, so because he actually lived the life he talked about in his music, the rhymes would just flow from him like he'd been doing it for decades. Not to mention, he had been inspired by some of the greats in the rap game, including 2Pac, Gucci Mane, Lil Boosie, Webbie, Lil Phat, Doe B, Future, Master P, DMX, Young Scooter, Migos, OJ Da Juiceman, Rich Homie Quan and record producer Zaytoven.
T
hen at the age of 15, Headro was shot with a bullet that hit his liver, lungs and fractured his ribs. Thankfully he lived to tell about it in his music. However his next encounter with a bullet wouldn't prove to be so fortunate. On January 11, 2014, in Johnston County, North Carolina, Headro Baby's young music career was cut short at the age of 18, when he was shot for a second time, this time fatally. Sadly, his physical presence may no longer be with us, but his spirit lives on through the many songs and videos he recorded throughout his early music career. Headro had many ambitious goals for the future, some of which included making it in the music industry as well as starting his own clothing line, a plan that his mom, Christy Wilkins still plans to pursue. His determination to succeed was driven by his desire to be able to take care of his family. In one of his songs which he called "My Time", Headro says " Four kids in the house, she fed us all", "Momma we gone make it..." Now it's his mom's goal to keep his legacy alive, and it's evident that as long as she's behind the wheel, Headro's light will continue to shine as bright as ever.
