When: August 7th and 8th 2024 - 9:00 AM. to 3:00 P.M. both days -
What: Come and watch the all New Greenline Vertical Storage System in operation. We will be transferring around 400 tons of Corn Silage out of the 24x124 Greenline system and thru a 440 Fieldline blower, up into the 24x92 poured concrete silo right beside it.
This will be the Ultimate Test to see what the Greenline H series unloader can really do. This unloader has been in operation since October 2023, We are anticipating an average of around 2000 lbs. per minute in delivery, but up to now it’s been hard to get a real number because on average the unloader only runs a minute or less to get total amount needed for a batch of feed.
We will be running the Greenline H Series unloader for 45 minutes ON and 45 minutes OFF thru out the day so that you have opportunity to watch the system in operation and be able to check it out and ask questions when it is shut down.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host numerous farmland leasing and management workshops across the state in July and August, beginning July 29 in Waterloo and continuing through Aug. 28 in Keokuk County.
The annual meeting series is offered to address questions that landowners, tenants or other interested individuals have about leasing farmland. Topics will include land values and cash rent trends, cost of production, methods for determining a fair rental rate, legislative updates regarding leases, including conservation in farmland lease arrangements, and communicating with tenants or landlords.
More than half of Iowa’s farmland is rented, and strong landowner/tenant relationships are important for the long-term viability of Iowa’s valuable farmland. While the trend in rental rates is fairly steady, individual agreements vary. There are many aspects to farmland management beyond lease rates. Attending a workshop is a great way to learn more or ask questions on specic aspects of farm ownership and lease arrangements.
Each workshop is designed to assist landowners, farm tenants and other agribusiness professionals with current issues related to farmland ownership, management and leasing arrangements. Attendees will gain a better understanding of current cash rental rate surveys and factors driving next year’s rents such as market trends and input costs. Contact Ann M. Johanns, extension program specialist, 515-337-2766, aholste@iastate.edu for more information.

How to get more out of your herd
Cornell QMPS has proven you can get more from your herd more staph-aureus and beef.
They started with 30 cows and 5 confirmed cases of staph-aureus and then milked the 15 with no staph-aureus with a GEA system and milked 15 cows with 5 cases of staph-aureus using CoPulsation™
When they finished the GEA group created 16 new cases while only one new case with CoPulsation™ Cornell reported a few cows died along the way - something many who milk with conventional systems experience routinely
